Malleus was on a mission. He made a point to spend one on one time with his kids as much as possible, and today he was looking for Felicity. His daughter was eager to learn and so very strong. He was eager to see what the future held for her and excited to foster her curiosity and see where it took her. Today he just wanted to spend time with her, maybe see if she was interested in a lesson or a game of some kind. But first, he had to find her. From experience he knew he needed to look for trouble and there, wherever that was, was where he'd find her. But the castle was quiet and he was at a loss. After a moment's thought he decided to abandon his approach and try a new one. Malleus sank to his haunches and barked once for Felicity. If she was within earshot he was sure she'd come running.

Felicity had made it her mission to explore every nook and cranny in this towering, looming, awesome place. It was a lot for any pup to explore, and the newness of the territory was yet to wear off. She had done a lot of digging through soot or webs to explore abandoned places, and she was a right terror for her poor mother to keep clean.

But, no matter how stuck in or involved she got in her exploring or play, there was one thing that could always set her running. The sharp bark of her father summoned her, calling just for her and puffing her chest out in pride the young troublemaker turned tail, and ran in the direction he had called from. Her paws skidded on the slick cobble of the castle floors as she sprinted at a dead-run towards him, sliding around the next corner to keep her pace, laughter on her face as she saw him. She tried to skid to a stop, paws clicking, but clearly her brakes weren't working right. She slid right into her fathers stomach as he sat on hunches waiting for her.

The skitter of claws on stone alerted him to the presence of his daughter. She came racing around the corner as if her tail as on fire and began to run pell-mell towards him. Malleus grinned and, certain she would stop before she ran into him, didn't move as he watched Felicity. Any second now she was going to stop. Any... ....Second... She wasn't going to stop, was she? Malleus had just enough time to tense up before his daughter slammed into his belly. He winced and pretended to get the wind knocked out of him. "You're getting huge! Any day now you'll be able to knock me over," he said with a laugh.

Her father grinned at her when she had rounded the corner, but he didn’t seem to anticipate her sudden collision. She at least got a soft landing, bouncing of his stomach and coming to a complete stop with a soft oof!

Malleus seemed to be trying to catch his breath, and she couldn't help but laugh softly. Yeah! Surprise attack, apparently. She hadn’t meant to slam into her father, but she was more than happy to take the credit.

“Just wait!” she said, chuffed at the idea that she would be big enough to knock him over. Her tail wagged behind her and she looked up into her father's blue eyes. “Will I be as big as you, daddy?” she wanted to know.

Would she? Honestly he didn't know, but if he had his guess she would one day grow to a formidable size. Her mother was quite tall for a mortal and he and his family were all massive compared to most. He would be surprised if Felicity ended up being shorter than her mother. Malleus leaned away from Felicity and made a show of looking her over. He squinted as if in deep thought, frowned like he was mulling over something bad, and then dropped the act and grinned before jostling Felicity playfully. "I think you're gonna be very tall. I mean, " he kicked lightly at one of her paws. "Look at those huge paws. I could hear you stomping around from a mile away."
