Build me up from bones, Wrap me up in skin, Hold me close enough to breathe me in
A dark blue sky stretched above her, dotted now and then by flurries cast about from indecisive clouds who couldn't seem to decide if now was the right moment for snow. Then as the breeze picked up the let loose the icy confetti and Drífa sighed heavily. She was planning to gather more meadowsweet before turning in for the night and the snow was not a welcome sight. She knew winter was almost upon them and she didn't care to be reminded so blatantly how little time she had left.
Grumbling to herself she kept her eyes on the ground until the clouds parted just briefly, allowing a beam of moonlight to fall in front of her over a massive fir tree. The snow that lay upon it's needles glistened and gleamed like it was coated in tiny stars. Drífa found herself standing still, a moment of silence falling over her.
