All I want for Christmas

Rhea had been doing her best to make a concerted effort to venture outside the territory a little more, to see more of the world and be just a smidgen more outgoing. It was a good little break from trying to practice and improve her hunting skills at least. Well... Okay, it felt like more work really since Rhea's preferred break was cozying up at home, especially now that the temperature was dropping more and more.
Pushing her way through the thick brush, the dainty young woman did her best to not get scratched up as she made her way through the edge of Abaven's territory towards the unknown beyond. She'd never tried to go this direction before, so she moved slowly and carefully, narrowing her emerald eyes as she tried to push through the sticks and twigs that poked and prodded at her. By the time she made it out into the open and found herself nearing a brilliant view from the top of a cliff the light was fading from the sky which was unusually clear for once. She sucked in a breath when she finally caught sight of the show that was only just beginning in the sky.
Normally the stars were more or less stationary from what she could tell, aside from the occasional twinkling or one very rare streak that signified what her parents had told her was a shooting star. Never had she seen them in such numbers! The girl stared, lifting her head upwards to appreciate how all across the clear blue sky little streaks of light were moving from horizon to horizon. Rhea had never seen something so pretty before! For a long while she just stood and stared, in awe.

Location: Moontouched cliffs
Another day of traveling gone by Leonce had almost found the pack he was looking for. He could smell a large gathering of wolves nearby. He was so close but he didn't know exactly where this pack was yet. He had found his way to yet another clearing. It wasn't covered in snow yet but the grass sure looked dead. He spotted what seemed to be a younger female looking up at the sky, what could be so interesting about the sky? he wondered. He looked up at the night sky to find it completely different from what the sky normally greeted him with. There were streaks of white making their way across the night sky, it was beautiful. No wonder the other wolf was looking at it. Leonce slowly sat down keeping his eyes trained towards the sky. This was something he wasn't going to miss a second of.

The darkening expanse that was left as the sun set was the perfect stage for such a grand display to take place on. Rhea wondered if anyone had ever tried to count the stars on a night as lovely and clear as this. Surely you'd fall asleep before you got at all close to counting them all, and with so many shooting stars darting across that perfect blackening background it was a task made more impossible than usual. Did the ivory lines that raced across the heavens come close to being similar in number? Somehow she doubted that very much.
A sound, like the crunching of a left drew her attention when it broke up the stillness around her and Rhea turned to see a black and white wolf standing nearby. Sitting up a little straighter Rhea jumped slightly at the realization that she was no longer alone. "Uh- uhm, hello! Hi there. I uh, wow, it's a pretty night, isn't it?" she offered, stumbling over her words as she tried to recover some semblance of composure and seemed to be failing just miserably. Goodness, Rhea.
Looking more than a little sheepish, the girl gave a weak smile and added, "I'm Rhea. Sorry, I just wasn't prepared for someone else to be here." That was silly though, she thought after a moment. It was possible to run into any number of wolves when she left Abaven, wasn't it? Her brows wrinkled a little as she decided that maybe she should be a little bit more careful. It wouldn't be good to go around getting startled all the time.
