Startin' fires and runnin' from the cops is like, my favorite hobby

In the interest of not totally destroying a gift from the deceased alpha Sparrow, Cael had ended up hiding her compass bracelet on the shore of the mainland and just sort of hoping no one would find it while she was gone. She'd had to skirt around a pack's borders to get down here. If one of them picked it up she was gonna be pissed. That possibility didn't stop her though. Cael really wanted to go somewhere that wasn't snowy for a while, and the islands down towards Auster seemed like a nice place to start.

After a series of swims she'd island-hopped her way almost as far south as she could go without actually being in Auster. There were a few small sandy islands, some with a few thick tufts of grass growing up from them, between her and the distant shoreline of the southern continent. It was only a hazy outline on a clear morning, but it was there, and it brought mixed feelings with it. On the one hand, the damned Abraxas made their home there. On the other, Asharya was from there. Heat rose to her cheeks when she briefly considered why Asha was considered a redeeming quality for the much warmer continent.

She stood on the southern shore of the island, glancing back at the green trees, speckled with white birds roosting all over. Doves, everywhere you went. And here on the sandy beach, more doves, and a few seagulls. Most of the gulls were white like the doves, though they had varying types of grey and black markings. The island was... interesting. Mostly enjoyable. Caelestis wasn't entirely sure why she'd ended up here, aside from the needed break from the snow. Sitting beside a palm tree with it's leaves waving gently in the soft breeze, Caelestis sighed heavily and studied the land around her with fading interest. Exploring by herself was getting less appealing.
