The tall brute had swept through this area not long after Crucifix had claimed it as Covari's own, The snow had liked to disguise the scents that would reside there, but his nose was rather excellent. He had found the lingering scent of his brother as well as that of a she wolf. He had been rather suspicious, and had kept his eye on his brother when he wasn't with the pups. He hadn't caught him with anyone, but the subtle scent of the she wolf had clung to him at least once when he'd returned to the territory.
He knew that their words had been few as of more recent times, but Scorpion had a free moment and was curious about what Soliloquy had been up to. He was part of the council now, and it was only fitting they spoke. Not to mention, he just needed to catch up with his brother in general. Once again his form would appear in the fern gully, with intent in his powerful voice he would call his brother to him.
His meetings with Isolde and his new promotion had certainly done a fair bit to boost Soliloquy's morale as of late. He still disliked how little time he got to spend with his brother though perhaps now bearing more responsibility that would soon change, at least if only for pack duties. It would a shame that children and women would part them more and more frequently though at least with his new title being the suggestion of Scorpion, Soliloquy knew that his brother still thought of him, still cared in some way, the bitter feelings would fade.
Despite the recent repairs to the relationship, Soliloquy would still be surprised as he heard his brother call out for him directly. This was no council gathering nor was it any other pack requirements it seemed, this was simply one brother calling for another. He would move towards the sound now, and it wouldn't take too long before Scorpion was in his sights. "No children to babysit today then brother?" He would question as he came to a stop before him, his tone a friendly, teasing one this time rather than the irritated one he may have used not all that long ago.
He had no doubts in his mind that he had been neglecting his younger brother, his duties in the pack had been rather exhausting as well as caring for Othello and their children. He wanted back into Sol's life, he was ever so curious to see how his own harem was developing, if at all. His brother would not leave him waiting for long, his lanky pale brother would appear before him with ease. An amused grin would appear on his features as his gaze pierced the younger wolf's. "No children to babysit today then brother?" He seemed in rather good spirits since they'd last spoke, a teasing voice given.
He would chuckle darkly, it seemed he had been too caught up in his pups. They would be brilliant someday, but until he really started training them he needed to focus on his brother. "Well, I'll be babysitting you," his voice also joking. "Really though, I wanted to talk. See how life was with out my overbearing presence.." his eyebrows would raise, his paws bringing him closer to his brother, "Have you slept with her yet?" Very direct the man was, but he was excited for the younger Destruction, he deserved to get some booty.
To be honest Soliloquy wasn't yet sure what to make of Scorpion's pups, yet more things to steal away his brother's attention. He certainly didn't wish to be treated like a child anymore though there was still a part of him that craved his brother's approval and aid in his life. He'd been a little disappointed of Scorpion of course, though the man was certainly placed high upon a pedestal, he needed the help to climb there with him.
His brother would joke that he was the one needing babysitting and though he found no humour in it he wouldn't be too serious about the comment. A simple shake of his head sufficed with a small reminder; "Not anymore. I have grown in case you have forgotten."
He would list the real reason, something that Soliloquy was rather glad to hear until his brother hit the last awkward and somewhat touchy subject. He hadn't wished to seek his brother's help though he was certainly still needing to work upon his harem. He wouldn't lie to his brother, he never had in fact. "No." He would respond simply.
Sol would shake his head after hearing his brother's comment, obviously not as amused as Scorpion was feeling. His brother would remind him that he had grown up, but with the answer to his question Scorpion couldn't be for certain. He would just let his gaze rest upon the pale boy as he tried to decide why that was the answer he was given. His head would tilt curiously, his brain obviously working, though the only thing he could come up with was that she was ugly. "Why not? Obviously there's nothing wrong with you, is she.. unattractive?" Still it was hard to think that Soliloquy would be keeping company with a she wolf that was not desirable. He was correct in assuming Sol had not done anything of the sort with a she wolf, what was stopping him now?
Scorpion's assumption that nothing was wrong with him was certainly flattering, it'd been a while since he'd received a compliment directly from his brother though of course being suggested for his new rank had certainly been a compliment of sorts. He couldn't be too pleased with his brother's words now though, knowing damn well that there was something wrong with him. Unlike Scorpion he couldn't speak with girls so easily, knew not how to progress to the next level smoothly though of course was too ashamed to admit this fact.
As for Isolde however, the russet girl certainly wasn't ugly and he would shake his head firmly in answer to Scorpion's guess. "No. She is very attractive." He responded firmly. He was still rather reluctant to confirm the reason however, especially after Scorpion's view that nothing was wrong with the young Destruction.
Scorpion probably couldn't guess what was wrong with Soliloquy because personally he had never stumbled over his words. He was good at spinning the web of desire, and had only assumed that his brother had acquired those same gifts. The pale boy would go on to answer his question, and the answer was much like he would have figured. She would be gorgeous, only fitting for his younger sibling. Was she already claimed by another? Those were easy to get rid of if you were very determined, maybe Sol needed some help. "Do you need assistance fighting one who has already claimed her?" It was another valid option he hadn't previously thought of.
The boy idolised his brother and perhaps that was half of the problem, trying to live up to this far more experienced and successful male from the word go. Other things had been picked up easier as he grew though it simply wasn't built into his nature to have that gift with words that Scorpion had. He struggled to know what to say next and it seemed now as he searched for a way to steer the conversation away from their current topic that this failure wasn't simply limited to the world of romance.
"I don't believe she is currently claimed." He would respond honestly once more, not sure he would have wanted his brother to fight for Isolde even if it had been necessary. The only wolf she had mentioned was her mother. It was possibly a bump in the road though hardly the biggest of his worries and certainly wasn't on his mind at the moment.
Bright eyes would bore into his brother?s own sunset gaze. Confusion would cover his features as he tried to decipher if Soliloquy would divulge any type of revealing answer. Why was he being so stubborn with him? There were a few other possibilities he could shuffle up, but he was tired of the guessing game. Features would become more serious as he drew closer to his brother, noses almost touching he wouldn?t let himself loose the eye contact. Ears would perk forwards and his tail would knock impatiently from side to side as he stared into opposing yellow eyes harshly. "Then, why not?" His head would tilt slightly as he added extra emphasis on his question.
He wished his brother would simply drop this. Soliloquy didn't want to play the game either, he wanted the topic to simply disappear his brother didn't need to know about Isolde. Though he didn't pin his brother down as a thief when it came to family, the younger Destruction wouldn't have been too surprised if they ever did meet for her to prefer Scorpion over him. Even he certainly idolised his big brother, in his eyes the elder male was living a pretty damn good life and he was living a pretty pathetic imitation of it.
The questioning would not be dropped however and Scorpion would advance closer now, a serious look within his eyes. Soliloquy was tempted to look away, find some way to distract him from this conversation and yet stubbornly he wouldn't allow himself to break the eye contact, Scorpion had moulded him into a stronger man than to submit quite so easily. Of course he respected his brother though, and it was perhaps more that and the hidden awkward feeling within him that would eventually cause an answer to spill from his lips. "I'm stuck." He would admit quietly, only now breaking the gaze ashamed to admit it to his brother. "I don't know how to... charm her." And with a little difficulty phrasing things, there it was in the end, the embarrassing truth that he, Soliloquy Destruction, didn't know how to woo a woman.
He could easily see his brother?s discomfort, but that wouldn?t stop him from pressing the issue. He needed to know why he had refrained from that first touch, surely he wanted to. He?d keep his eyes on the younger Destruction for quite some time, Soliloquy would not let his gaze fall until finally he?d slip out an answer. As the words fell from his lips Scorpion would sit back, once again giving the boy his space. A dark smile would appear on his features, he wasn?t about to make a scene. Still, this wasn?t quite the answer he had expected from him. Still, it was likely partially the girl?s fault as well. "Hmm." His brother was still young too, maneuvering your tongue came with practice, time, and age. "If you want it, you?ll figure it out." He had every confidence in the boy, "This is one of those lessons I wont be able to give you much help with." He?d smile encouragingly, "Just give it some time, it?s in your blood."
Scorpion would withdraw, satisfied with the answer it seemed though Soliloquy still wouldn't look at him just yet, unsure as to how his brother would react. He'd never mocked him before but would now be the start of such treatment? No taunts left the older Destruction's mouth. He was far more understanding of the situation than Soliloquy it seemed a fact that the white boy would be grateful for though the lack of advice or any sort of aid after all of that would make the whole debacle of getting an answer in the first place seem rather pointless. Sure there had been some encouragement, some confidence but the atmosphere of the past few moments had yet to leave Soliloquy. Only a small huff would be given in response. He hadn't exactly wanted help in the first place but still felt a little miffed by the casual manner in which Scorpion would cast the topic aside now, there hadn't even been one little tip.
Soliloquy would not let his eyes meet up with Scorpions again, dark ears would swivel concerned like as the boy huffed in an answer. He was obviously not satisfied with the answer given, though Scorpion couldn?t disagree. It was a let down after all the work it had taken to get to an actual answer. Still he?d smile, slightly amused at his brother?s predicament. "Alright, you poor boy." He?d roughly start, his mind trying to come up with some kind of advice to offer his poor struggling brother. "Tell her what she wants to hear. That?s she?s pretty, or smart, or whatever." It was a pretty good start, if he had nothing else he could do that. "Touch her, if you can. Some don?t like that early on contact" He?d think some more, was just being sexy a valid answer? "Just do what feels good." He?d shrug, obviously struggling a bit with his answers.
The small smiles, the amusement of the situation was lost upon Soliloquy at the moment. Instead he would only glance back to his brother with a soft frown as Scorpion gave in and began to offer him some advice. Poor boy? He withheld any comment upon the choice of words, not wanting to invoke any ammunition for it to become a permanent nickname or more importantly steer away from the more important topic if his brother was seriously going to offer him advice.
Compliments. He wasn't too good with those really, they'd certainly need work but as for touching her, well that had gone rather well. If he had his brother's experience, confidence and better way with words perhaps he could have found himself with a completely different answer to the initial question that had started this conversation off but unfortunately it seemed he would still just have to figure stuff out for himself. He would simply give a steady nod of his head, a sign that he'd taken the information in no matter how much Scorpion may have been struggling to think of what to share in the first place.
