The Alpha and the Spider

Shortly after the promotional ceremony, Shaye would wind her way through the pack in search of Spider. It was a pleasant late winter's day, and the latest snowfall had already melted. It wouldn’t be long now until Spring was around the corner, and she had been meaning to track down one her newly promoted healers for a project. Specifically, she wanted to give it to someone who she knew would benefit from the challenge, and would likely appreciate something to keep him busy. She would be giving him a job she really did want done, and would also be making further steps in her effort to bring Spider out of his isolation. She caught the scent of him and made her way over, offering him a smile as she got close. “Spider, do you have a moment?” she would call out. |
