The only good part about the day was this right here. Everything would be worth it once he had Eulogy by his side. He’d made a fool of himself, and got made a fool of. Maybe the humility would do him some good though. He tried not to think about where he was in life, and all of the events to lead him to this point. Some were shameful, embarrassing, but still there were other fleeting moments that he wouldn’t ever give up. Even though Rhyme would have preferred never setting his eyes on Valentine again he couldn’t help but keep his words close to his heart. He had regrets, but they made him who he was. Rhyme might have been ashamed of some of words or actions, but he liked who he had become.

He shook his disheveled coat as his tall form appeared at the border of Erovare. Shaye had taken full control of the diplomacies, and he couldn’t blame her. He had overreacted and over spoke. The emotions had gotten the better of him, but now he was gaining control again. He had Eulogy in his grasp.

He couldn’t bring himself to sit as he approached the ghostly forest of Erovare. He peered within silently for a moment before tilting his head back and calling out for his sister to come to his side. Rhyme didn’t care who else in the pack heard, he welcomed them to challenge him as he retrieved his young half sibling.

The howl from who he assumed to be the Abaven alpha called for the earthen toned woman that had been taken as a slave by the albino man. After the fiasco at the battlefield, Cloud had returned with his brother and was given all the information he needed. Eulogy would be going to Abaven. He would meet with the other alpha instead of his brother, especially after all that had happened. Cloud had absolutely no problem stepping in and stepping up for his brother, especially when he needed him the most. Despite his own doubts about himself not being leader material, he sought to remedy that by helping his brother out more as opposed to standing on the sidelines. Sure he hunted pretty often for the pack since hunting was where he excelled, but he had gotten to be the great hunter he was by doing. He figured he ought to apply the same thought to his position as Ty's second, so that's precisely what he aimed to do.

The monochromatic male emerged from the bone white trees and spotted the other alpha standing at the borders. He dipped his head in greeting as he approached, his expression friendly as he stopped on his side of the border. "Hello, you're here for Eulogy correct? My name is Cloudburst Wreckage, Tyranis' brother and alpha partner." He breathed in a sigh, "My brother won't be joining us, I imagine you understand why." He cleared his throat then, feeling a little uncomfortable as he tried to get accustomed to handling the situation as an alpha would. He just needed a little time and practice to get used to this kind of thing. While he knew Rhyme had called for Eulogy already, Cloud decided to sound his own call for her, summoning the woman to the borders.

Hannibal was gone from the pack and so was the alpha's pups, along with their mother. Alot had happened on that day. Nephthys had moved dens and had told her what had happened to the pack. It was all very confusing to her. The slave still had not been eating more than enough to keep herself alive. Even though she knew hannibal would not be able to punish her anymore. What was she even supposed to do now? She wasnt sure she had a purpose.

A call from the borders had her sitting up and straightening up. For once in her life she wasnt completely submissive about this. That had been Rhyme. She would know his voice anywhere. He was calling for her. But she was uncertain about going to him. She was told after all that she was not allowed near the borders. Such a thing was hard for her. She wanted to go to him, to sprint and find him before anyone else, but then there was the rules that kept her in place. She had been nothing but obedient to Hannibal's family and the pack. Even with the nasty scar on her face she still had no interest in revenge on the members of erovrare.

A second call came, this time a demand for her from an alpha. Her ears pressed and her tail tucked as she stood from the den and scurried to find them. It wasnt long and she could see them. Her heart was hammering at the prospect of seeing Rhyme again but there was also the fact that she was still a slave. She scurried towards them her body low and her eyes not meeting either males, nor was she looking at either now. She stopped about ten feet from the border and dropped to the ground there. It was submission that coated her being, even as her eyes lifted and she looked at Rhyme. Hope did dance there in her eyes as she looked at him. But then she looked to cloudburst, she was seeking his permission to go to her brother, but she would understand if she was allowed no more than this.

The new scars would be something that Rhyme had no idea about. There were several he wouldn't of seen, including the one that was on her snout from hannibal. Hannibal's  had started to burn alot and had left her hot and sick to her stomach alot. She was sure it had gotten infected but she had no idea other than the cobwebs over it what else to do. The one on her hips and the one on her forehead would be new and something that she had not had before. They had been part of her punishment when Rhyme and Rhythm had escaped. She wanted nothing more than to go to her brother and learn into him for the strength she knew was his to share. Thys might come soon and she would be more likely angry that she was so close to someone else right now.

Rhyme tried to reserve judgement of Tyranis, he had mixed feelings and decided Shaye would have to come to a conclusion before he did. Thoughts of the lightning king were dismissed as the charcoal and alabaster male appeared. He was polite, and Rhyme didn't hesitate to return his quick nod. He was disappointed Euology hadn't appeared first.

"Greetings. Rhyme." He stopped himself from offering his father's surname. "I am here for her, and I understand." He was grumpy and still feeling the effects of his public shaming, but he did his best to keep his voice and expression light as Cloud called for Eulogy as well.

She didn't hesitate to appear at his call, and she looked obviously beaten as she shrunk into the ground at the sight of them. Rhyme offered Cloud an apologetic glance before damning the border and rushing to Eulogy's side.

He pressed his form against her, offering what comfort he could. She had some new scars from the last time he saw her, and her muzzle looked inflamed and infected. He whined softly, hurting for her as he nuzzled into her cheek and kissed her chin to boost her confidence.

"Eulogy," he whispered softly with relief. "You're safe now."

The woman arrived, but she cowered inside the border instead of going to Rhyme. Cloud's ears flattened, knowing this more than likely didn't look good to the Abaven alpha. Especially with her newer, fresher wound. But neither he nor his brother had done that to her. He didn't stop Rhyme from crossing the border, and instead, he watched the larger wolf try to comfort her. He stood there a moment, quietly as he watched. Seeing that, part of him was missing his own family. He had Tyranis and Thora here, but it had been quite a long time since he had seen the rest of his littermates and he wondered how they were and what they were doing.

He left them in peace for a few minutes before speaking again. "That new injury on her muzzle needs to be looked at. One of our members, Hannibal, did that to her. There's...something else he tried to do, but perhaps it's best I tell you about that in private." His voice got a hard edge to it at the memory of that. Finding the albino bastard ready to do such a vile act to her. "Unfortunately, we don't have a proper healer...so we couldn't offer any aid to her wound." He sighed, hoping that Rhyme understood. If Cloud knew how to heal, he would have done it. But he didn't know a damn thing about herbs...

There were always moments Eulogy had fear and always moments where that fear also gave way to courage. It had taken courage to not run when hannibal had punished her and courage to not run from Cloudburst's call. It now took courage to stay where she was, trembling, hoping none here were upset with her. Nephthys would be completely upset for her coming here now without hannibal.

As rhyme rushed to her she lowered to the ground completely not daring to look him in the eyes. She was such a failure. She'd run away only to be captured by this pack. How mad at her was he? Did he remember she was denied anything that may help her to find them? As Rhyme sank down next to her and seemed unanswered she visibly relaxed. Her sore muzzle was pressed into his chest and she let the relief wash over her. Safe. Yes safety was where Rhythm and Rhyme were. She was still shaking though and as cloud started speaking her ears fell to her head and she hugged close to her brother's side. She couldn't forget, she was mere property to this pack, able to be disposed of like a peice of rotten flesh.

She avoided looking at the alpha of erovrare in stead of looking at the ground in front of Rhyme. Speaking wasnt appropriate for her at the moment either. She held no ilk for any of these wolves though. Even if Rhyme asked her if she wanted revenge for the ill treatment of her, the answer would always remain the same. No. They were acting as they had always been intended to. They were the masters and her the slave. Though she knew that once she was out of here she might find a burrow and hide there for the longest time.

He wasn’t sure what he was expecting. Eulogy was broken, afraid, wounded. He could smell the infection in her flesh, and he felt a flurry of worry and protectiveness flare within him. She froze, but quickly fell into his side. He held her tightly as he reassured her. Cloud’s words were on the air again as Rhyme settled with her. He didn’t expect her to be talkative, and besides pressing against him she barely moved. He sighed heavily into her fur, feeling relief he hadn’t realized was coming.

The name Cloudburst threw under the bus was stored into Rhyme’s memory. He was the cur claimed at the battlefield that day. It seemed like he was getting what was coming to him. Right now the slate alpha couldn’t be bothered with thoughts of the villain, he needed to get Eulogy home and into the care of Abaven’s healers. He already guessed what had been done, exactly what she had been trained as a slave to do.

He nuzzled deeper into Eulogy’s neck, offering his strength to her as he encouraged her wordlessly to rise. He forced himself from his fur as he looked back to Cloudburst. He’d embarrassed Abaven enough that day to be rude to the secondary.

”Thank you for an easy transition, Cloudburst.” He managed to say before returning to Eulogy. He obviously couldn’t thank him for taking care of her. He nudged her gently, offering another encouraging kiss on her scarred cheek, careful to avoid her inflamed wound.
