OOC: Technically tagged for Branch but anyone is welcomed. <3

Spring wrapped the weeping woods in a delicate blanket, warming away the prolonged winter snow and slowly starting to revive the earth around her. The last time she had been here, the days were starting to become shorter, the air was crisp, and autumn leaves danced around the forest floor. But oh how relieved she was to finally make it back to big brother's pack. Her home away from home. Home. That word made the raven woman's lips fall into a tight line, remembering the lands she had recently left. Upon request, Aspen had traveled back to the Wreckage homeland to bring news of Branch's success, of the numerous members of their family that had managed to follow him here. She wasn't quite sure what to have expected from the others, but surely taking a whole season to accurately explain what was going on here, was surely not necessary. Nevertheless, Aspen persisted, and once the snow had melted away, so did the woes of the elders, and she was finally allowed to return feeling her mission was thoroughly finished.

When the heavy scent of conjugated wolves wafted up her nostrils, all the stress and heavy thoughts from the past few months seemed to vanish. Suddenly there was a hop in her step that wasn't there before, and a grin that tugged on the corners of her lips seemed to appear out of nowhere. Her snout raised to the heavens as she let out two howls into the woods, short and loud, to let her brothers and sisters know she had arrived, especially Branch. He would want to hear what the elders had to say on the matter, and surely he deserved an explanation on why it took her so damn long to get back. But it was more than that; Aspen missed every single one of her siblings here, they have become her everything since leaving home and she loved Kesali so damn much.

WITH YOUR FEET IN THE AIR

AND YOUR HEAD ON THE GROUND

He was mostly good as new, though sometimes his new scars felt a bit tight after strenuous activity. That was fine, he could still work away at border patrols. Thus, he was quick to recognize a familiar scent back on the borders. Aspen! Rolling gait turned to a ground eating lope as he thundered towards the source. Once the small form of his sibling was in view, he let loose a war cry "Pennyyy!" he boomed gleefully, before skidding to a stop just shy of bowling her over entirely. He did, however, attempt to use his own size to his advantage and jostle her into an awkward hug by draping his right forelimb across her shoulders and leaning part of his weight into her. If she pushed him away he'd be nice and back off.

"You've been gone forever!" he complained lightheartedly, grinning madly as he tried to nuzzle his face into her ruff affectionately. "Tell me everything!" he crowed the demand into the open air, already almost worked to a lather over the sight of his missing sibling.
