She would make her way to her favorite place in all of Alacratia, the Kennocha lake. The small fae would sink down to her haunches and sit on the soft snow, watching the frozen lake as it reflected the wintery landscape of the surrounding area. Ever since she had participated in the pack meeting of Tortuga, all she could ever really think of is what she could be, what she could do to prove her worth to the pack. Perhaps, maybe if she tried her hardest, she could maybe at least become a decent hunter if she tried, for the pack. Misha would sigh and push the thought away, tilting her crown up into the air, calling for Qanik.

Only a life lived for others
The call of the young female Misha caught Qanik's attention and she swiftly made her way forth to answer the call. Roman's reorganization of the pack, announced at the meeting, made sense, and would make things easier in the long run. In the short term though, they would need to figure out what rank everyone belonged in, what each wolf would specialize in. She herself did not need to specialize, but if she had needed to chose a rank she knew it would have been a warrior as she had been in the pack of her youth - she remembered fondly those days. Coming up on Misha, she dipped her head in greeting to the young wolf. "Misha," she asked carefully, "what can I do for you?"

Misha would lift her head when she heard Qanik approach, the fae dipping her head in a respectful greeting. "Qanik, good to see you," Misha would say as she would seat herself in front of Qanik, clearing her throat. "Well.. I have thought about the specialties Cohorts have to obtain, and I was thinking that I could maybe possibly become a hunter, or a warrior? I would definitely try and prove my worth to the Tortugan pack, with which ever specialty I'm paired with.." She would say almost shyly, looking at Qanik with a small smile on her ebony lips.

Qanik nodded slowly as Misha spoke. She had suspected this would be the subject, as she had been expecting each wolf to approach her or Roman over the next few days to allow their intentions to be known. She had been wondering what Misha - so ill suited to anything when she first joined the pack - would ultimately decide to choose. It seemed she was having a small amount of trouble with making her decision, unsure if she wanted to choose hunter or warrior, and Qanik had to wonder if either would suit her at all.

"Which would you feel most comfortable pursuing, Misha?" she asked gently. "I have no wish to offend but in the past you have shied away from both hunting, and fighting, and if you wish to be ranked among them you will be expected to participate fully. A hunter, or a fighter who is uncertain and fearful is a liability to their comrades. You need not choose either if you do not believe yourself able to dedicate yourself to the art. You could remain a cohort and continue with what you have been doing, and perhaps help care for any pups there may be in the future," she added, thinking of the pups Roman was carrying. As an alpha Roman's responsibilities would carry her away from her pups even with Qanik's help, and a ready babysitter would be helpful. If Misha could not make it as either hunter or warrior perhaps that would be an option.

She would look at Qanik when the white wolf would start speaking about Mishas specialty choices. Misha was always one with a soft spot for almost everything, one might even call her ?weak?. She didn't really want to have that type of stress on herself, for she hated the thought of possibly hurting anything, but she was a part of this pack. She had to prove her loyalty one way or another, and this was how. Misha would stop her wandering thoughts and perk her ears up at Qanik when she mentioned something as caring for future pups. ?I would love to.. I-Is that even a possible specialty.. Especially f-for someone like me?? She would stutter out in a shy tone, looking at Qanik with hopeful blue grey eyes. If it was possible for Misha to work with pups instead of possibly hurting anyone, or hurting anyone in the least amount possible, it would make her feel so happy. Maybe even useful and accepted and worthy of herself to squeeze in a desired rank of the Tortugan pack.

It had been rather accidental that she had stumbled upon Qanik and Misha's conversation. She had paused to take a drink from the lake, behind the shade of a large oak tree- and had heard the ladies speaking. She listened for a few minutes, as she drank her fill before heading towards them. She caught the tail end of Misha's request, her brown furrowing. They didn't have a high rank for the jobs Misha did. Roman almost wondered if the girl showed any inclination to herbs. Perhaps she could be a runner for Gossamir and the other healers? As she approached, she slowed, "Sorry, to interrupt- I happened to over-hear you while taking a drink." She apologized with a warm glance towards Qanik. "We don't have a higher rank that isn't a specialty.. but like Qanik, I wouldn't force you into anything. I never asked, if you had any interest in healing- Misha?" Roman asked kindly, halting near Qanik's side.

Her head would tilt up when she heard Roman's voice. She would apologize for interrupting, but Misha didn't have any bother from it- in fact, she was quite pleased that all three ladies could have a conversation together. Especially on a subject as her ranking in Tortuga. Roman would ask the girl about healing, but Misha had never really liked the idea of working with herbs, and poisons, etc. She also wasn't very fond of Gossy, knowing she was a Tortugan healer.. but she would keep her thoughts to herself, opening her maw to say something else. "My interest seems to lack in healing, but my confidence seems to be growing in sparring. I've recently fought a small pup, and, a large adult male. Although I lost, they were my first two fights I've ever been in. Surely, with some practice I could get better," she would say in a hopeful tone, looking up at the white ladies.

Qanik blinked in surprise at Misha's hopeful words, and her mouth opened once as though to speak before closing again with no words. Luckily Roman saved her from needing to think of some way of finding the words to speak, appearing as if from nowhere to speak. Qanik dipped her head gratefully to the alpha, and considered her suggestion thoughtfully. It seemed reasonable enough for a wolf who had never shown an aptitude for fighting or hunting to go into healing. Misha however denied interest in herbs and healing, claiming instead that she was gaining confidence in fighting. "Two spars does not a fighter make," Qanik cautioned, her brow furrowing. "Are you certain that's the path you want to follow? It is a dangerous way of life and takes hard training to pursue." She would know - her own white pelt was littered with scars from a lifetime as a guardian. Her gaze drifted questioningly to Roman - what were the other alpha's thoughts on the matter? She would not force Misha into something she didn't want, but likewise would it not be wrong of her to keep her from it if she really was interested?

Misha would continue watching the ladies, looking at Qanik when she would speak. Sure, it was a dangerous one- but Misha couldn't do anything else. There was always the option of being a possible hunter, which would be also acceptable since she had been working on her hunting a bit. Misha would know what Qanik was talking about, sitting on her haunches as she would try and show them her scruff, the wound already starting to make itself into a scar. "I know some of the possible consequences of being a fighter.. I know I could die- but this is my pack- my family, and I want to be able to help in any way I can," she would say, already changing so much from the shy girl that she once was when she had entered the pack. A shy wolf who couldn't pull her weight. Well, now she was going to at least try and prove something. She would look at Roman and Qanik, listening for their response.

As Misha reveals that she holds no interest in healing, but rather suddenly in sparring- Roman is shocked. Qanik speaks, and Roman nods thoughtfully. Spars were one thing- war was another. Misha spoke again, and Roman listens intently, staying silent for a few moments before she speaks. "Spars and wars are not the same thing, Misha." She cautions, before continuing. "I urge you, to not make this decision lightly, but if fighting is where you think your heart lies, I will not stand in your way." She says, wanting to make sure this is what Misha wants. Roman has seen many wolves damaged by war- maims, scarring, and horrible deaths. While the Queen knows it is a possible end for any of her fighters, she wants Misha to be sure of this choice, and not just choose it as a desire to rank up. She waits, for the tawny woman's confirmation that this is indeed a course she desires, before speaking again.

"Well, war.. I don't.. I don't think I would do very good with that. I do enjoy helping others though. Making them feel well and better.. That's the stuff you get to do in being a healer, right? I could at least give it my best try, no?" She would ask in an eager tone, looking up at them. Surely the life of war and violence was not one for a girl like Misha.. She disliked hurting others. Instead, she would like to help them. "Yes. Healing seems perfect," she would say after giving the thought of herbs and plants more thought. Who knew, maybe she would be a great healer..? She would look up at Roman and Qanik, smiling softly at the thought.
