Cloud had found himself heading out a lot more lately. He told himself it was because he wanted to take advantage of the good hunting during the Spring season...but the pack wasn't big enough to require all the hunting he was doing. He thought maybe it was boredom...but that wasn't it, either. His brother was going through some things. Especially after finding that half the pack seemed to betray him. He couldn't relate to all the things his brother might be feeling, and he felt bad about that. He wanted to do what he could for him, but there was only so much he could do. That's how he felt, anyway. So he set out again, but this time he didn't have any specific goal or task in mind. His own mind was far too occupied with his own thoughts. He wanted to heal his brother's pain, but he was no healer. All he could really do was hunt and be there for support. But he felt like that wasn't enough.

Feeling melancholic all of a sudden, he slowly and quietly walked across the prairie, even going as far as ignoring the sudden warning calls of the prairie dogs that spotted him. He was in no real mood to hunt, which was unusual for him. Even his companion seemed to pick up on his mood, so he decided not to bother the wolf and instead, flew quietly above him.

WITH YOUR FEET IN THE AIR

AND YOUR HEAD ON THE GROUND

He was just about as good as new, thanks to Riva. The scars he bore were a trophy of his battle that he wore with pride. Today, the sun was shining and the warmth of spring was upon them in full force. So, he wandered away from Kesali in search of... something. He wasn't sure what, exactly. Just.. something to occupy his time today, and keep him busy. A new face, a fresh sight, whatever he happened upon first.

Luckily for him, he didn't have to wander too far, nor wait too long. A pale man, marked with shades of ebony and charcoal. From a distance, it was hard to gauge exactly how big he was, or anything other than what he could make out from a distance. Unperturbed, the male wandered towards him. The circling bird overhead didn't even make it onto his radar yet. As he closed in, he got a better feel for the male. Older than him, if the way he was nicely filled out and the depth of his musk was any indicator. Smaller than him, too. Not by much, but enough that he felt a swell of confidence as he approached.

Once he was close enough to make out the features of his face, though, he hesitated. This male looked rather sullen. Something must be wrong. Should he be bothering him? The Wreckage blood in him had the urge to reach out and help where he could. Might as well heed his instincts, they hadn't led him astray yet. "Hey there, friend." he rumbled warmly in greeting, a hint of a smile on his face. It wasn't pity, or concern. At least, he was hoping it didn't come across that way. His tail flagged behind him in a hesitant wag.

A heavy sigh escaped his lips as he tried to think of ways to help his brother. He could sneak into Abaven and take the kids...but that would be stupid. And he wouldn't risk the agreement his brother had with their alpha, anyway. Maybe if he were someone else, but Cloud wasn't that type of guy to go around doing that sort of stuff. Besides, they'd be coming back soon enough, right? It was only two weeks...they could wait it out. As long as Abaven kept their promise, they'd have his nieces and nephews back in no time. "Hey there, friend." A strangers voice brought him to focus on the present. Bi-colored gaze finding someone he'd yet to meet, but clearly also part of another pack. A neighbor? He hadn't met anyone from Kesali yet, especially since he often didn't go around knocking on the neighbors doors. That was more his brothers thing, but now that there was a neighbor in front of him...well...time to be friendly? "Hello, neighbor. You're from Kesali, right?" Honestly, he wasn't sure where his pack stood with them. But it wouldn't hurt to find out.
