LOSS HAS NO END, IT BINDS OUR CONNECTION

Slowly the earth drank in the rainwater.  The midnight thunderstorm had roared through the land a few hours ago and disturbed Bastet's hopes at a good night's sleep. Her emerald green eyes opened slowly, lips curling back over ivory fangs as she growled softly. The storm had brought a deluge. It soaked the already sated earth with more water than it could possibly swallow leaving the ground muddy and miserable. Bastet scowled again for good measure. She did not know where she was going, only that she had a long way to go and she didn't want to spend the first legs of her journey treading through sucking slop.

Casting her gaze heavenward she saw only clouds, thick and dark. It would be awhile before the sun slipped out over the horizon to begin drying the land. Bah! She would wait, she had time. She had no where in particular to be and no particular time to arrive there by. Fate would move as it would despite her machinations. At least she was away from the north. At least she'd escaped her bondage. She stuck out her tongue to catch a rain drop that dripped off the mouth of the crypt entrance. Ahhh… that was the taste of freedom. Now the world was laid out before her paws and she barely knew where to start. The only driving force these past seasons had been to find her wayward siblings. She might as well be searching for a mouse in a canyon but still she'd caught snippets here and there and these lands, this Boreas, seemed a promising place. In the meantime Bastet could ponder what to do with her future now that it was truly hers.
