This island..this island would be perfect for a pack to settle. Unfortunately, however, the only path to it was a sliver of a path that extended across the water. He was sure when the tides rose, that path was swallowed up. It did no good for a pack to get trapped on the island with no way out if something bad happened...they'd have nowhere to run, and they'd be forced to try and swim. While he liked the look of this place, that one fault he found made it unsuitable. He continued his exploration, however, walking the perimeter of the lake where the pines met with it. The air was cool here despite the summer season, and somewhere up the hillside he could hear the sound of mountain goats bleating and butting heads echoing across the lake.
