Do you feel that I can see your soul?
Inside Thoth had created his own small palace. There was an entrance to the caves below which though not large enough to enter through was big enough to act as a vent. The cool air below the earth seeped into the artificial cave, keeping it cool. Especially in the back rooms, which would become the perfect place for Thoth to keep his herb store. It was still small, but he had no doubt it would grow. Especially as they recruited more Ithuriel's under Nephthys rule.
Long golden gilded legs carried him through the forest, he was out now looking to increase the small stores he had. He’d thought he had seen wintergreen the other day, and now he more actively sought it out now that he was prepared to collect it. He had a thin rabbit skin to wrap the potent plant, he hoped he might even be able to collect a sample for the garden. With his dual toned gaze searching for his chosen quarry Thoth continued quietly through the thin trunked trees.
Seshet wasn't sure there was anything that could really be considered a paradise but the new things she was experiencing definetly helped her to feel that this continent was the closest thing to a paradise. At first there had been the relief of being in the desert again had overwhelmed her, she'd been unsure she'd ever feel at home once she'd left her home continent but the sea of sand had helped to set her at ease. Then she'd been forced to skirt more fertile lands, trees bigger than any she'd ever seen, not gnarled or withered from the heat of the desert sun. But the trees had stunk of many wolves, borders of some claimed territory she guessed, so she'd been forced to gape at them from afar. So when she'd found another forest, the smells of others but not as strong or established as the previous forest. The trees here weren't as big as the one she'd passed but was fascinating to the woman nonetheless. Seshet padded gracefully and quietly through the forest, feeling the way the dappled shade cooled her skin, listening to the gentle rustling of the leaves in the wind. Her mind-expanding as she simply existed in a new place. A scent wafted towards her and Seshet stopped, casting her gaze about. Catching a glint of gold in the sunlight. Another wolf was walking through the trees and Seshet's eyes widened in surprise. She only caught glimpses of him through the trees but what she saw set her stomach a-flutter. Something about him seemed... divine. But the woman dared not speak, almost afraid that if she broke the silence of the day he'd dissipate like a spirit. |

He barely perked as the sound of paws in the forest reached him, he thought it likely one of his half siblings. There were a few other wolves that frequented the nook, but they never bothered him. His long stride brought him deeper into the forest, and as he passed by the now unusual sight of pink caught him. At first he thought one of the trees remained in bloom, what he found instead was a desert rose.
Thoth’s mortal body was young, he was only just beginning to appreciate the company of a she wolf. His little experience in this realm was obvious as he found himself frozen before her. His golden painted left leg lifted as he forgot to take his planned step. Gold and silver eyes traveled down her form like one might appreciate a priceless painting. Her vibrant stripes captured the Ithuriel boys eye as he looked over her obvious desert origins.
Words stuck in his throat and manners went out the door as he found himself agape.
It seemed she had seen him, mismatched silver and gold turning to face her. He stopped and Seshet felt her breath hitch; he couldn't be morta... she'd never felt more convicted about anything in her life. The girl blinked slowly, allowing her gaze to move slowly over his form, noting the slender shape of his face and limbs, the large ears that told her he was from the desert just as she was. Wether from the desert here or elsewhere she could not say. She could feel his gaze on her and she stood a little taller, almost pleased with his attention. Finally it seemed one of them would have to break the tension. Slowly, ever so slowly, Seshet took a step towards him. A single tentative step, her gaze never leaving his form. |
