Adrenaline continued to race through his veins as his blue and lavender eyes assessed the injured wolves that had been gathered this side of the rapids. As far as he heard, everyone had been accounted for. The slate alpha brought himself up to one of the more special wolves under his care. His dear Eulogy. Rhyme halted before her frail form and reached out to nuzzle behind her ear comfortingly. She looked like she could use a good sleep, but with the head injury she sustained he was worried about her having a concussion.

He wanted to do a real dressing of the wound, and offer his half sister a bit of pain medication. No need to keep her awake and in pain. He knew it had to be something light, he was sure his tiny sister would react poorly to anything strong.

”Hey, Eu.” He said quietly, lowering himself to her level as he looked at the gash on her forehead. ”We should probably get this cleaned and redressed.” He warned her, knowing it was uncomfortable for her when he messed with it. ”Are you feeling okay otherwise?”

Eulogy thought she had died ten times over now. She wanted desperately to close her eyes and sleep but they wouldn't let her. Why was that? Her head ached, bad, so bad. Sleep could only help her right? She was exhausted beyond exhaustion now. And on top of that shed been displaced from her den. She was so out of place, felt so vulnerable in the temporary den her brother had her in. Its entrance was much too large and it had no bolt exit.

She was on alert, high alert. She couldn't bring herself to stay inside the den. She might have to run. The temporary dressing had started itching as well. She was doing her best to not claw and paw at it. She was curled into as small a ball as she could be and as far away from the majority of the displaced pack members. Rhyme's steps had her snapping her slowly drifting eyes open and to him. He nuzzled her and she let a sigh escape her nose. Even his comfort brought no relief. Poem had done good dressing her head she thought for a girl not yet a year. Not that she herself knew anything about healing.

His greeting was answered with a small tug of her lips but honestly she was exhausted and wanted to cry from the pain in her head. She knew her eyes watered but he had so many others to worry over that he shouldn't be worried over a mistake like her. "I'm.... fine. Just a headache." she should of told him the truth probably but he was needed elsewhere.

Rhyme nuzzled his half sister lovingly, she seemed so withdrawn. He wanted to help bring her out of her shell and to help her bloom as he knew she could. Despite her quick words Rhyme was not fully convinced. He knew she was likely going to have a concussion, and with the level of moisture in her strained eyes he could only guess at her pain. Delicately he removed the bandaging Poem probably placed to have a good look himself. It was an impressive gash, furthering his evidence that Eulogy felt worse than she did.

He’d stashed what he would need to tend to her with earlier, knowing she wouldn’t be comfortable in the main infirmary. ”I’ll make sure to take care of it.” He told her as he nuzzled behind her ears and pulled out a premade poultice. He could smell the ginger and tumeric, that would go on her cut. Hopefully staving off any infection. Rhyme cleaned the wound gently before offering his poor sister a bit of herbs to eat.

He could only offer what would be mild pain relief for now. Once she was closer to the twelve hour mark he’d start thinking about giving her something heavier so she could sleep. ”Eat all of this.” He whispered as he sat back to watch her complete the task he’d given to her. ”I’ve put tumeric and ginger on your wound, to help stave off infection and reduce inflammation.” He mentioned quietly, to help her keep her mind off the taste and the pain.
