Sirus was uncomfortable to learn he had been ranked so highly within the Ashen Empire, he considered himself a guard, and a slave, only. He had served Deathbelle for almost all his life, and his authority had lain only in what he needed to keep her safe. However, he would take whatever position she commanded of him, and be grateful that it allowed him authority to protect her.
The titan giant roamed the territory of the Ashen Empire, restless and uneasy. He was yet to meet other wolves beneath her Imperial Majesty, and needed to know what he was up against. He expected to see familiar faces of the royal family, of those that had chosen to follow Deathbelle to this new-formed Empire. He hated not knowing what to expect.
He moved to the edge of the lake, scrutinising the pale water, and wondering at its name. Had many wolves set their paws to these banks in the past? Now none but the Ashen could touch it. He smiled at the thought, pleased at what Deathbelle had started here.
Banshee had been rather quiet since joining the pack. She really did not know what to make of any of it. Father had randomly appeared again and Belle, her guardian for the last few moons, had created a pack in their name. Did that make Banshee a Princess now? Perhaps not with her aunt's royal pups coming. The thought made the young Klein pout slightly. Despite being the daughter of the Klein Empire's true born heir she would never have a crown of her own. In Erovrare she was beneath Tyranis' naughty pups and now she was nothing but an apprentice. The negative thoughts called for a tiny huff to emit from her earth toned jowls.
The slightly grumpy pup moved through the forest with little ambition. She had been enjoying her time learning of herbs but other then that she didn't have much going on. Banshee's angst was at an all time high for more then a few reasons. But, as she aimlessly roamed the youngling caught sight of someone lingering around main lake of Ashen. Ban raised her head and cocked it to the side. Sirius. It was Deathbelle's personal guard. Banshee hadn't ever spoken to the man due to those creepy fangs and his massive size. He could easily step on Ban without noticing or poke one of her pretty blue eyes out mid speech. But, these opinions did not stop the curious yet bold pup from wandering towards the strange male. Her pad falls stopped at about seven tail lengths away and her youthful voice came forth. "Aren't you Death's guard?" The babe was notorious for being rather bold.
The sound of soft pads on the earth caught his attention, and his ears swiveled at the sound, and he turned at the same moment that she spoke. He took a moment to examine her, having never seen the mite before. Who had pups in Ashen? He wasn’t sure, and he lifted his nose to her, fangs tilting to the side as he took a few sniffs of the air above her head. He didn’t move any closer, letting her keep the comfortable distance between ehr tiny pup self, and the colossal giant. Hannibal? he recognised the scent, but hadn’t known the man had children of his own.
That would make this little Miss a Klein, and therefore one of his betters. He lowered himself to the ground, kneeling on his front legs so that he was short enough to look her eye to eye, before lowering his head in a polite bow. “I am, Little Grace. I’m afraid I don’t know your name?” he asked politely, offering the little pup a gentle smile with the words.
The youngling shielded her nervousness with a little smirk. Perhaps it was the same sly smirk her father usually had plastered along his slinky lips. The girl was a large pup but would never reach the size of the giant before her. Nor would she ever grown fangs. But, that did not mean this glorified slave was anything better then her. Banshee was royalty despite being beneath the spawn Belle was going to pop out. Other should know that, especially the rather intense beast before her.
The strange male lowered himself before bowing to her. A little nod could be seen from the babe. His submission was nothing compared to that of her former servant, Eulogy, but it was likely due to the fact that he was no ordinary food fetching den cleaner. His baritone vocals met her perked ears and another nod could be seen and her feminine vocals were lifted into the air. "I am Banshee.. Did she still even use her mothers last name? No. She was a Klein."Banshee Klein." The girl sat down as she cocked her head to the side, "What is your name?" She thought it was something that began with an S..
The pup more than just smelled like Hannibal, she smiled like the man as well. A crooked little smirk on her dark features as she looked to the giant. The titan for his part, stayed in his crouch before her, his submissive posture also one at ease. He knew his place in the world, and that this little Miss was his better.
The girl gave her name, and a hesitation, before confirming her status as Klein. He had no doubts, he knew whose child this was, even having never met her before. She would have been in direct line to the crown, if the Ashen Empire had unfolded the way it had first intended to.
“I’m my pleasure, Banshee Klein” he said, adding another swooping bow, one that still looked flawless despite his crouched state. “I am Sirius, and currently at your disposal.” he explained, offering her a chance to order him about if she so chose.
