the battlefield was splendid as always. she enjoyed coming here. she enjoyed testing her growing skills against the people who came to meet her. Heloise did not know who would come now, but she sent up a howl of challenge. the ivory woman thought she would be content in Winterfell. that a simple rank would suit her until she proved herself, yet she felt herself grow restless with each passing day. she respected Acere enough to promote her when he felt she was ready; this is why she did not approach him. though often she felt like she was doing much of the work in the pack. choosing not to focus on this, Heloise walked further into the landscape. her gyrfalcon circled in the air above her. still unnamed, he was a banner of tranquility as he flew. blue eyes lifted to see him happily soaring. a few days prior she had nursed him when he was hurt. now her new familiar was eager to test his own mettle with his mistress. she waited patiently for someone to come, almost delighted when the scent of Winterfell hit her nose. she'd turn, seeing Fracture approach. "it is about time you came." she gently teased her friend, for he kept bringing up their eventual spar whenever she saw him. it gladdened her that he was the one to show. "please, go first" she added, readying herself. "SPEECH"

Fracture paced along the edge of the battlefield, unsure if he wanted to take on another spar so soon after the titan he'd met earlier. A familiar howl rang out, and his lips upturned in a small smile. Heloise. Well he'd have to make an exception, then. He'd promised his friend a spar and it was about time they had it. She greeted him as he approached, and Fracture nodded his head in response. "I see you have a companion in battle." He pointed out, muzzle to the sky. "Should I be worried?" His eyes gleamed playfully, and as she offered him the first move he slid down into a battle stance. "Gladly." He allowed her a moment to shift into position before lunging forward. He came at her head on- the two were much closer in size then some of the direwolves in the area, and so the fight would feel much more fair - and aimed to somewhat wrap around and throw jaws to try to grab the scruff beside her left ear. As he lunged his upper body lifted, aiming to wrap his forepaws around her shoulders to pin her in place to help his aim with the grab. "it depends on his skills" Heloise replied easily, her eyes drifting to the gyrfalcon. the bird had yet to prove his capabilities yet even if he was less than ideal for a fight, she still would keep him close. her loneliness had become apparent lately, her longing for something more kept hidden inside. she craved the companionship that a pack advertised, yet aside from Fracture and Acere... she had really no one to deeply depend on. that was her fault. she kept others at a distance. so she had no reason to complain openly. so she said nothing more as Fracture lunged at her. he aimed for the scruff behind her ear, and she side-stepped away from him, jerking her head to the side just as he lifted himself. though her scruff was safe, Heloise felt his heaviness on her as he attempted to gain control. forepaws went to her shoulders, yet she was not as worried. they were around the same size and build - it was not a stark difference compared to the others she had fought. Fracture could easily go in again for another grab and she sought to remedy that. twisting her slim body from side to side and thrashing, she desired to dislodge him from his hold. Fracture's paws found hold around her, though his grab upon her scruff had missed. The ivory woman thrashed wildly beneath him and he knew he wouldn't be able to land another grab with her moving so wildly - especially considering that in a spar, he'd want enough accuracy as to not seriously harm his friend. There was the issue of how he'd get down, however. Simply hoping backwards off her left him open to too many angles of retaliation. Instead, he aimed to shift the entirely of his weight to the left. His desire was to take them both to the ground, where she'd be forced to stop squirming and he could continue his assault. With the movement, he'd throw his head down to hopefully land upon her neck for extra force in his push. Heloise usually did not fight wild. Each action was controlled and thought out, but she trusted Fracture enough to spice up her usual routine. She wanted to try something new now that she had a companion. Surely her gyrfalcon would be beneficial in whatever she tried next. And as hoped, the falcon dove to Fracture’s head. The fifty-foot wingspan bird beat furiously against the wolf’s head, shrieking and trying to claw him. To get him off his mistress, for the ivory woman had landed on her side at Fracture’s weighted attack. Whether the man fell after the bird attacked was not known to her at this moment. She took the opportunity of a distraction, twisting on her side to aim a bite at Fracture’s front right leg. She ignored his throat in favor of limiting his movements. Her forepaws wrapped around his front paws, trying to gain a hold there and perhaps even tangle him up. He was larger than her, but not by much, though he had enough speed to back up his movements. Not like the clunky dire wolves that made Boreas their home. With a sharp growl, she called off the gyrfalcon. The bird took to the skies again as the two wolves wrestled beneath him. Fracture found his takedown a success and Heloise fell to the ground beneath him. He leaned down to try to grab at her throat, and suddenly claws raked against his skull and ears. His head sharply lifted to try to bite at the bird and drive it away, and at the same time his opponent grappled his legs with her own. Fracture growled, lifting his paws to try to release her hold and continuing to snap at the overhead companion. It was awkward and difficult, but eventually it's mistress called it off and Fracture could return to the fight at hand. The ivory woman had his legs near-tied and Fracture needed to find a way to release her hold to free his movements. As she was still beneath him and his head was free, the easiest thing to do was to try to lean down to hopefully catch her squirming neck in his jaws. she had tried and had succeeded in doing something that would typically throw her. it was merely luck - Fracture had fought quite well and she was not going to poke holes in his ego over her victory. she would turn to face him now, a warm smile for her friend as she dipped her head. "I hope you will honor me with a re-match one day" no mentions of her win over him. they were friends; she did not need to. "if you are going back north, perhaps you can walk with me? if not, I will see you back at Winterfell." she offered to him before shifting her body away. if he caught up with her, she would slow her pace.
