The laugh was worth every comment he had ever made, and he grinned up at the face of the lioness as she looked at him. Ghee whizz, he swore her head was the size of his whole body. Lucky for him, she was on his side.
“Oh yeah, I do that with my sister all the time. But she gets mad easily, you know?” understanding completely the need to get away and not have drama follow for it. “I’ll keep an eye for them, don't worry” he promised, and gave the huge back beneath him another pat. He had quite a collection of dead fish growing now, but the last one had slipped away from him, and he was determined to get at least one more into his pile. He struck again at the water, pretty confident in his abilities, even if water wasn’t his friend.

Canni nodded her reply as the small wolf decided to help her in her quest to avoid all Abavenites. Good. That meant two extra eyes on the lookout for Shaye, Rhyme and Motif. Nobody would know she was here, she could go back to Risen quietly and without the drama of the lighter-aligned wolves demanding to know where she'd gone.
The fish she'd caught slipped from her mouth and she swore softly under her breath. Glancing back at the tiny wolf - he may have been an adult, but in Canni's mind it was hard to think of him as anything other then a pup - to be sure he didn't hear and take offense. With a final lunge, she snapped at the crystalline water to hopefully catch a new one. If she did, that'd be 10 and she could continue exploring the festival and diligently avoiding Abaven.
