In addition to the tree climbers and the dog, Valkyrie had one other unusual captive for sale today. Well, two of them, technically. The one actually in her possession was a child who showed a lot of promise. The second was a weird cat/raccoon lovechild who refused to leave the girl even though he himself wasn’t in captivity. Though he technically didn’t belong to her, Valkyrie was going to figure him into her price anyway. He had to be good for something.

As was becoming her custom, Valkyrie sat beneath her tree. She tried to catch the eye of interested looking parties but she didn’t loudly announce what she was doing or the statistics of this particular captive. The marauder was content to let interested parties come to her.

”Talk”

So far he had found little of interest to him in the market itself. The wares held some minor interest to him, and he wished to keep an eye out for a trader that could craft him some wearable defense, but so far nothing had caught his fancy. He had already seen the brown woman, moving on the outskirts of the crowd, staying mostly near a tree, subtly displaying her wares for the world to see. He raised a brow at the young wolf he saw beside her. The youngest, perhaps, that he had seen so far. He was surprised, and wondered what she possibly hoped to use to sell her finer points. potential likely. He almost snorted, but didn’t dismiss the idea of the girl. They could raise her into the position of slavery, she could be a companion to Zee, who he realised was lonely in a pack where all held higher ranks then she did. He couldn’t give her a slave of course, but he was high enough rank himself to own one. “How much for the welp?” he asked, coming to a lazy stop near by, and casting a glance towards both her and the merchandice. "Speech"

Valkyrie watched Sirius approach. Of course he was interested in this one too. If he had his way the big male would probably take home every captive she had. Not that she would complain; a sale was a sale and she cared not where most of her slaves ended up. If they all ended up going to Ashen, well, perhaps the pack could be lured into some sort of an agreement.

”This one? Ah,” she said thoughtfully before reaching out to stroke one of Motif's ears with a paw. ”Look at her eyes; they shine with intelligence, don't they? Look at her paws, she might be as big as you when she's full grown. And look up in this tree.” She motioned up into the one she was leaning against. ”See that little red beast up there? He refuses to leave her and he dropped these when I caught her.” Valkyrie pulled forward a blow gun and slid out the dart that had been lodged in it. ”So, seeing as she is a fine young thing with a loyal and craft companion, what do you think she's worth?”

He looked to each aspect as Valkyrie pointed them out, the large paws, the eyes, the creature in the tree. Oh? he thought, looking to the tree. The little soft red creature was interesting. Zee might be interested in meeting both, perhaps. He didn’t let his interest show too keenly in his eyes, knowing it would only drive up the price. Instead, he looked blandly to the pup, and back to Valkyrie. “I See…” he said thoughtfully, considering what he could offer. “The pelt and antlers of an Elk, Bits of metal I found in the earth?” - this one a trader had been listing as an item they would trade for, so perhaps Valk knew its worth and could trade it on and use it for herself. He wasn’t certain what it’s worth was, but he had come across a few pieces when he had dug out his den.

Valkyrie made a show of considering his offer. In truth her mind was already made up and her answer easy, but she wanted to draw him in and hook his interest further. If she could make him sweat her answer his interest in the girl and her pet would likely become keener.

"Hmmm," she murmured thoughtfully. "What kind of bits of metal?" Pieces small enough to be made into jewelry or barbs for weapons? Big enough to be armor plates? She wanted to be able to visualize what he was offering. That way she knew what she was agreeing to.

”Talk”

Sirius spread out a paw from the earth to indicate a space as wide as a claw, and then raised it again, to twice the height. “Five pieces, ranging from this size, to this size.” he said “The color of old blood.” he explained, knowing little of metalwork, and would not have assumed any such was valuable until he had seen the posting at an earlier stall.

She asked nothing of the elk, so clearly her interest lay in the metel. Perhaps he should have paid closer attention to what he had, and what it was worth. Alas, he would have to see if he could find any more, at a later date. He fell silent, waiting to see if she would accept the offer, and give him the child.

Valkyrie was quiet for many moments as she considered his offer. Metal the color of old blood would make anything it was paired with look wicked. That appealed to her a great deal, but only five tiny pieces and an elk? She thought the pair was worth a bit more than that.

"Double the metal pieces and you shall have a deal. The pelt and antlers of an elk plus ten pieces of metal for the girl and her companion." A fair trade in Valkyrie's mind. The girl was young; she could be trained for anything. And that little creature with the quirky paws; who knew what else he could do?
