After the Series of Unfortunate Events leading up to them safely bringing home the bag of feathers, Sirius decided he needed to branch out his lessons with Zee. so far, he had taught her how to take on a wolf, he hadn’t taught her how to take on a predator. Well she could come flying at him and not recieve terrible consequences, she could not go flying at a creature like a tiger and expect to make it out alive.

He had Zee with him as he tracked down the Caracal, thinking a smaller predator then a freaking tiger would make for a good demonstration. He was quite well he hunted it through the woods, and came upon it sunning quietly on a rock in a small open patch of greenery. “You have the element of surprise here, use it. You want to get one very good, debilitating wound in as quickly as possible.” he explained to her. It was the best way to ensure the fight was going to go in your favour. He waited and let Zee make the first move, to see what she would do with his advice. He intended to give running commentary through out this fight.

Zee sighed softly as she stalked along beside Sirius. "This is silly." She stated, rolling her eyes. "We just took down tigers and now you want to teach me to kill a small cat? A little late, isn't it?" Regardless the slave obeyed, happy to spend time with her beloved even if it was time wasted on silly things like lessons and combat. She nodded at his words, trying to put on a serious face although she was not excited for the mission at hand. A caracal was child's play, Zee wanted to go back and finish off that bear. She continued forward, taking his strategy to use the element of surprise to her advantage. From the bushes she pounced towards the thing. The charge was hesitant and not as sure as she'd like, so unfortunately the cat saw the attack coming. It whirled on her and she skittered backwards, snapping her jaws at the air infront of it's face. She was much less sure now that Sirius was not in the front seat. "You could help, you know!" She called to him, crouched low and looking for a new opportunity to strike. "Speech"

“If I hadn’t been there your reckless dive would have gotten you killed” he said patiently, still remembering how he had felt, seeing her dive headfirst into something so much bigger and more powerful than she was.

If he knew her thoughts on the bear, he might have been tempted to swat her, instead, he waited patiently as he intended to both teach her and help her take down the smaller cat. He crouched and leaned forward so he could better watch as Zee moved forward quietly. She could be a lethal little hunter, if she had the patience for surprise attacks.

Zee hesitated near the end, ruining much of her surprise, as the cat whirled on her. He watched a moment longer, before approaching from the other side, jumping in front of the cat and letting loose an air-splitting bellow. That got its attention. It made a timid strike for him, but he held his ground, showing his teeth as he waited for Zee to make use of his distraction. “Maim a leg!’ he yelled, wanting her to get a feel for how the leg worked on the cat and the best places to maim one. It was her best chance at winning against a larger cat.

Zee let herself give in to a moment of panic before Sirius came in, taking the cat's attention from her. It gave her a small moment to breathe, and she tried to steady her breathing as she listened to Sirius' yell. The small wolf skittered around the cat - careful to stay out of reach of the paws - until she could come at it from an angle towards it's foreleg. Still crouched low, she snapped forward with careful jaws to land her bite above it's elbow. The cat screamed in rage, contorting it's body so that it's opposite paw could swipe towards her. She ducked the blow very nearly, it's claws brushing past her ear painfully. Could have been worse. However she released it, afraid to be struck by a more accurate attack. "That didn't really work!" She yelled back, voice wavering. "Speech"

Zee went again for a leg shot, her confidence seemed to be dipping a little. Strange, considering how fearlessly she had taken on the tiger. The cat forgot about him as she went into for a maim, and he pounced on its tail, holding it fast with the weight of his body as Zee scrambled away from its attack.

The cat yowled and turned on him, earning him a scratch across his back before he smacked it silly with a powerful swipe of his paw. He pushed the cat over, which was blinking, dazed, for the moment, He straightened out the leg Zee had gone for well the poor cat tried to regain its sensors. Sirius still on its tail. “You missed the tendon, strike here " he said, indicating the spot with a paw, before giving the cat another knock, keeping it dazed and out of it.

Zee stepped back as Sirius pounced upon the cat, pinning it to the ground by it's tail before thonking it upside the head into a heavy daze. She narrowed her eyes slightly at his show of brute strength, jealous he could do so much damage with just a paw swipe. He gestured to an area of the leg, and Zee stepped forward cautiously to see to where he was pointing. As he took his paw away, she moved to strike once more. The feel of it under her teeth was different then the fleshy thigh she'd gotten the last time, and as she clenched her jaws she felt the tearing of the tendon. Even dazed the cat managed to yowl and flail wildly and Zee released it. In it's convulsing effort to escape the back leg that Zee had bitten managed to kick her upside the head. Her eyes squeezed shut in pain, and she felt small drips of blood move down her forehead. "OK, yeah. Good lesson. Can you kill it now?" She lifted a paw to her bleeding head and winced. "Speech"

Sirius waited, holding the stunned cat as Zee got close again, and then gathered the nerve to bite at the spoe he indicated. He heard the ripping sound as she snapped the tendon, and the creature yowled and flailed, even stunned as it was. It did manage to get one good bonk on Zee and he growled at it. Not that it listened, terrified and hurt as it was.

As Zee felt at her head, Sirius snapped the neck of the flailing cat, and pushed its body aside. “So you got the feel of the tendon? If your taking on something big larger than you, you need to hurt it bad and fast, and your speed will be your greatest strength” he said, feeling that was a good conclusion to the lesson. He then pulled her close, and gave her head a gentle lick. “My little warrior” he said softly.

Zee heard the crack as the cat was put down, and then the sound of it's corpse being pushed aside. "Yes, I felt it." She responded, still annoyed at the blow to her head. Stupid cat. There would be more lessons to come, and next time she'd keep her head away from the potentially flying paws of her prey. It could have been worse though - they could have been hooves. Sirius stepped up to her, pulling her to him and licking her wound. She tilted her head to nuzzle into the thick fur of his chest, murmuring a happy noise as she did so. Though she did need to clarify one thing. "Mm, but not little." Though her voice was too light and relaxed for it to sound argumentative. "Speech"
