Heloise couldn't stand by while the world was burning around her. she lay outside the den she had briefly shared with Yurei, opting to slowly patrol the pines before taking a rest. she knew Acere would be both pleased and worried. pleased she was still able to get around and help but worried for their children if she pushed herself. she may be heavily pregnant and quite round now, but Heloise wanted to assist her pack. these children would be the pack's future, and she had a part to play in giving them life. and she couldn't just sit by while others waited on her either. having found materials on her patrol, she dragged them carefully to the old den and settled down. most of them were sticks and small logs. she had also found some discarded antlers from kills, and other animal bones. her goal was to make barriers to keep trespassers out. set them along the pack's border like a barricade. it may make Winterfell look almost hostile, but when food was scarce and resources dwindling... Heloise saw the sense in forcing intruders to think twice about coming on their land. a long stick was in her paws, balancing as she worked at it. a stone with a jagged point was in her mouth as she drew it along the end of the stick. making a point. both physical and mental. she didn't realize another had approached her until it was too late. looking up, she blinked slowly at the young man standing there. his fierce red fur reminded her of blood, but she knew who he was at least. "hello, Ignis" this was Acere's nephew. had he come to check up on her on behalf of his uncle? she had told her mate she was going on a walk, but he may be worried when she hadn't returned right away.
