The little prince made his way out of the den to find his aunt. While he missed his father dearly, he was tired of being sad and wanted something to do. His dreams had continued so far, and they were a comfort to him rather than a haunt. He learned through them. Besides, he knew Archon would not have approved of stagnation. Plague moved with the easy floppy gait of a pup who would grow to be a giant, emerald eyes scanning as he went. "Aunt Lucretia!" He called, his small angelic voice almost sounding demanding. White tail waved in the air as he walked along, calling for the healer incessantly as he went. The god prince was wanting to throw himself into his chosen path. He finally knew what he wanted to do most. Now, he just had to act on it, but first, he would have to find his aunt.

Under Bourbon's tender care, she had begun to bounce back. An intelligent glint had returned to her eyes as opposed to the sharp blight of madness. Luce was making herself busy organized and inspecting the stock that they had left. It likely wouldn't last much longer through the winter, but she knew that eventually spring would come. They would have to make do in the mean time. She had been crafty before - they would persevere through the cold season with the frugality she had cultivated over her lifetime.

She had only recently made her den open to visitors again. Bourbon had been tending to the pack's necessities while she had recovered from her unfortunate lapse in acuity, but she was glad to be back in her element. It had been an ugly but important reminder that she couldn't lose control so easily. A certain young voice reached her ears and she looked up from her work. Not many of the children had begun to show interest in anything but scrapping around, so she eagerly welcomed Plague into her workspace. "Hello, little prince," she said, giving him an affectionate nudge. "What have you come calling for?"

The small spines on his neck rose and fell as he wandered all over looking for his aunt, he had never expected to have to make it all the way to her den! It felt like he had been wandering forever, though it could have only been about five minutes realisticly. Though when she greeted him, he gave what passed as a smile and returned her affection. "Momma was telling me about a plant called desert rose, and I want to know more about plants and how they can be used." His curiosity had been piqued and he would not stop until his thirst for knowledge was quenched. There was a new unknown to him, and he just had to explore all of its possibilities.

"Well then you've come to the right place," she said, offering him a small smile. Mentoring and being around children didn't come easily to her, but Deathbelle's litter had softened her. They were such bright little creatures - and endlessly surprising. Certainly smarter than she'd given any child credit for. The other Kleinlings scurrying about were less familiar to her, but she was dedicated to her craft. She would teach anyone who asked, no matter their parentage or heritage. Bourbon had proved his weight in rare herbs already - who knew what this little pup might help her with in the future?

Desert rose... "And what did she tell you about this plant?" she asked, settling in for a discussion. Hopefully he had the patience and attention span, he was still so young! It always surprised her how small they were.
