Altair

Darkness. Darkness was all the fae could really see. She had managed to crawl inside the mine structure, and after a little bit move maneuvering she managed to make her way to a much larger cavern. Various sounds of bats, rats, and other creatures caused her feel a bit on edge, but the woman tried her best to stay brave despite the odds facing her. The lands of the North were interesting, and the thought of seeing more of what they had to offer crossed her mind. Altair still had a pack to get back to, but a little bit of sight-seeing wasn't terrible...was it? The place did seem rather stable after all, but the thought of something worse happening did cross her mind too.

What if there was some larger beast that came to attack her? Anyone could take refuge here, so it was a possibility. A small sigh escaped her as she trudged onward, keeping her nose a little lower to the ground to catch any scents worth investigating. She couldn't stay here for too long, but, at least there was only way the she-wolf was going; so finding her way back wouldn't be too hard...hopefully.

Altair had to admit one thing however...the place stunk. Curiosity always killed the cat, or, in this case, wolf. But, curiosity and finding out what lied further inside cavern was what pushed the alabaster dame forward without too much thought. Being mindful of her step, Altair walked forward as her claws dug into the dirt to keep her footing, her paw jutting forward and feeling for any signs of anything sharp. Getting cut down here with the chances of not finding anyone to aid her, was not on the young wolf's agenda in the slightest. But, she had to wonder how her friend was doing. It had felt like forever since they last conversed. He surely would have been doing something worthwhile for himself, Altair thought to herself. At least she could explore and think about things without her little half-siblings running around. Not to say she didn't care about them, but the girl did love to explore and see new things, and this was definitely something new to her.

Valentines 2020Critical Hit!

Mist and fog shrouded the damp portion of the mines that Dominus had been calling home for the time being, a small breach in the wall of the mountain that extended out to one of the mountain's collection pools had made for easy access and shelter for the behemoth. The vibrant flickers of ember orange and red reflected off the rugged walls of stone and dirt that surrounded the beast and made contrast in the brilliant blue of his eyes. Despite their bright coloration as the flame from the lantern at his side would attempt to light them, those gentle orbs somehow seemed void of the excitement they once held in his youth.

He rested there next to his dying lantern, soaking in its warmth without any sort of relation to the time that was passing. He was well-fed from an earlier hunt and without much a reason to continue expending his energy- if any of those that had once known him had thought he was dead, they weren't far off. The ghoul lingered without much movement aside from the faint rise and fall of his chest as breath escaped him and created little plumes on his exhale until they became intermixed and lost with the rest of the mist.

When the flame finally died, Dominus finally managed to move his massive crown to observe his surroundings. Darkness. He could have slipped out of the crevice he'd managed to enter from and search for more marine life along the coast that could help him refill his lantern, but the drive to do so simply did not seem to be strong enough to motivate him to move at all. Instead, he embraced that darkness and lowered his head to rest on his own forelimbs, stretching out across that his lantern had warmed in an attempt to preserve such heat. He drifted off, but not long after heard the disturbance of someone moving through the mines.

The way the noise seemed to be approaching from had been mostly obstructed to his knowledge, so he was surprised to hear someone coming from that direction at all - they must have been determined. The scent of his musk would be impossible to hide, but still, the dark-colored brute did his best to move out of what little moonlight was able to cast itself through the breach in the wall. He wanted to be able to observe before the stranger came all the way in and get an assessment for them before he would decide what to do with them.

Her scent carried to him just as he heard her paws push through rocks, quietly searching for sure-footed foundation as she pushed through. He knew she would find herself with much more room to explore here soon, so he waited for her to come into the room. Some part of him felt nervous as that scent hit him with a sense of nostalgia. He couldn't place it at first, but once she managed to be touched by the casted light of the moon - he held his breath.

She was much taller than he remembered, but immediately he knew who she was and that memory of her and their last fishing trip together brought a smile to the beast's scarred lips. He tried to remain quiet, but his tail was already brushing idly through the dirt behind him as he rolled his shoulders and spectated her a bit more, playing the part of a giant wallflower as he hugged the inner mountain. Once he had given her a chance to check their surroundings, a small room with a cracked wall to the outside that held a small pond of mountain runoff at its base, he stepped forward and let his baritones resonate in the air of the room around them.

"Well, damn. If it isn't little Altair. Not so little anymore, I must say." Slanted grin took over his muzzle as he stepped into the small streams of light coming through the rocks- his language amusing him as he remembered how much she hated it. He was much bigger himself, bulkier as his heavy set of muscles finally filled the height of his skeleton. He was a massive wolf, comparable in size to his uncle Acere even if they seemed absolutely contrasting to each other in coloration - right down to the color of their eyes.

Dominus has a black snake that stalks him. Unless mentioned already by me, it is welcomed to powerplay this snake and allow your character to notice it somewhere in your posts.
Dominus says bad words, he can also be very unstable. All Dominus' threads are mature.

Altair
Hetero-chromatic eyes were too focused on the ground to really think of any scents around her. But, once the musk happened to waft into her nasal cavity, a sense of remembrance came to the yearling. She was so preoccupied with everything else around her, that the scent of the brute whom was her friend for quite some time almost made her drop from shock. Altair needed to remember the first rule of adventuring: always be aware of everything around you; even if it was just an old companion.

His deep baritones rumbled in the cavern as dual-colored eyes focused on the voice's owner. A small smile spread across the alabaster wolf's lips, tail swaying freely within the air. Dominus. It had been a while since her eyes lay upon the obsidian male, and by the looks of things; he definitely had gotten larger. If she were not mistaken, Dominus happened to be around the same size as her adopted father, if not a little shorter. From what Altair could gather he seemed healthy, if not a bit scarred. The fae's smile never left her, noticing the dark brute's tail swaying across the ground from the small rays of moonlight that shone upon the ground and the two occupants of the cavern.

The man's swear was off-putting to the young wolf, but, the dame did welcome it with open arms. After all, they had not seen each other in what seemed like forever, so a small curse wouldn't ruin their reunion too much. A smirk replaced the woman's smile as she nodded her crown in reply for a moment, closing a little bit of distance between them.  "Yep! I've grown up! But, you've definitely grown a lot since the last time we met." She spoke, shifting her gaze upward a little to verify her statement. She was a small wolf, but, at least she was healthy and had the body to make a quick get away from danger if need be. She was a lover, not particularly a fighter. Though...it probably would be best for her to figure that skill out just in case.

"I hope things have been well since the last time we had a conversation? Been staying out of trouble I hope," Altair teased, her crown titling slightly as her ears swiveled forward, making sure to have Dominus's full attention once he started to speak. She wasn't sure if he had any stories to tell on what he had been getting himself into. But, regardless, the fae was too respectful not to give him her undivided attention; especially when he was a friend of hers.
