Roan had been pulled to the pack on the back of a cart, too injured to walk the long journey himself. He was staying in Io’s cottage, Sirius believed, and for the most part, the Warlord had left him to himself. He needed time and space to heal, and he knew the man was in the best hands with Io.
However, the brute was also taking up resources. Sirius helped to hunt for him, a commitment he had already decided to take part in. if Io was doing the work to heal his wolves, he would feed them. Roan was his, but only just. So far the man had been nothing but a pull on pack resource, and the Tyrants leniency would only go so far.
It had been a few weeks since then, enough time surely for the dislocated shoulder to support his weight the deep gouged across his face would turn to scars, and Sirius didn’t see them hindering the man in battle unless someone actually reopened the wounds.
With this in mind, and Io safely away from her den, Sirius would seek out the warrior.

Roan maybe hadn’t quite believed Iolaire when she said his leg would take an incredibly long time to heal. His facial wounds were turned to scars and no longer bothered him. Io was a great healer though, and even if he couldn’t move much she did do physical therapy with him. Roan was returning to his former glory, but he wasn’t there yet. The silver marked titan did what he could for his caretaker, but she often didn’t allow him much activity.
His shoulder felt good, he could walk and move around, but he also knew that too much activity returned him back a few days in recovery. For the most part he could deny any pain management, he could tell that Iolaire’s methods were working. He had offered to accompany her in the task that took her from the cottage today, but she declined him and the warrior instead reclined in front of the stone building.
The silver warrior lay in what sun was available with the ash covering the sky. His eyes half lidded as he debated about a nap, when the huge form of Sirius approached. Emerald eyes blinked fully open as his gaze shifted to the Warlord. The question was if he was looking for Iolaire or did Roan have to prepare to repay his massive debt.

“Roan.” Sirius said softly, looking down at the injured man. There was a touch more respect in his voice then there might otherwise have been. Roan had looked out for her sister, stood up for her, even against her wishes. It took courage to stand up to the spikey healer, and he had done so only because he cared. That told Sirius that Roan would take steps to look out for Io, and, in turn, made the Warlord respect him.
He needed warriors he could count on, and he had a feeling Roan might just develop into one that he needed. “Your looking a little better. Care for some exercise?” they could stretch together, and see how Roan’s body reacted to the movements. If his body held, they could continue into a spar. Roan was no longer just an injured wolf taking up resources, he was a friend. Sirius, for that reason, would go a little easy on him.

The question lingered in his mind for only another moment before Sirius uttered his name and dashed any thought Io was the target. ”Sirius.” The wounded man nodded politely in returned greeting. Roan was slowly healing, but the Warlord still asked him to offer a little exertion. ”Better, yes.” However much he wasn’t yet fully healed. ”I’ve been warned not to over exert myself…” He trailed off warningly, he’d already made Io mad but looking after her. He didn’t want to upset her for not following her direction in looking after himself.
Roan didn’t struggle near as much lifting himself from the ground, but his injury was still very much apparent. He managed though, and if Sirius wanted to stretch his limbs Roan would join him. It had been too long since he’d really gotten his limbs extended, but he didn’t want to think about that day.
