All journeys must one day come to an end. Aggie had to consider herself fortunate that this was not the final end, just the end of something. She was back in Boreas, all limbs in tact, hale and hearty. Ylva was still with her, she’d acquired no new scars, and she had eaten a hearty meal just a day past. An ending of one thing, and the beginning of another. Things could certainly be worse.

It had been a long time wandering, learning, exploring. A long time adrift, but now she was back... Never mind that “back” didn’t mean much, but she was undeniably back. Apart from her home range, the lands that were evermore draped in the golden glow of youth, entrenched in memory, this was the only place Asgeira had ever found that felt close enough to home. And now she was back.

Sharp claws dug into her shoulders, and the shewolf grumbled. “What?” she sighed out, part irritated and part amused, as she always was when Ylva voiced her concerns. “We’ve been walking for ages,” the red panda groused. “Either find us some water or somewhere to bed down, either or. I can’t take much more of this.” Aggie chuffed. “Oh, you can’t take much more of this? As far as I recall, you’ve been sitting pretty up there on my shoulders, ferried from here to there.” The panda hissed, and Aggie smiled.

It was true enough, they would need to stop soon. Maybe for a day or two even, to regain their strength and figure out where they were headed from here. That didn’t mean she had to pander to the panda. “Well, if you’re feeling a bit weak I suppose we could. I had intended to get a few more hours in, but...” Ylva hissed with renewed vigor. “Fine, fine. I’ll find a place for us to bed down.”

Aggie sniffed and began doing just that.

Chaos' steps hadn't felt this free in a while - a long while. Even before he'd fought to claim Legion, hell even before Ivory Ridge had been passed to him and he'd made his Crew, it had eaten at him that his family was scattered and he couldn't take care of them, and then once he'd gathered many of them together into Legion he'd been constantly stressed by the need to protect them, to care for them, to make sure they were all fed and trained and healthy. He wasn't a leader, not really, not like that. He wasn't subtle or thoughtful, and in his world the solution to all problems was smashing it with a rock until it was fixed or it went away. Tyrian, now, Tyrian was more like their dad. He had the strength, but he was also more capable of dealing with others without antagonizing them. Chaos was not. And now he knew that his family was in far more capable paws, and for the first time in years he could relax. Who'd have thought that all this time he was just waiting for a random litter of Imperialis pups to be dumped on them so they could raise up the next Imperialis alpha?

It was in this relaxed and happy state of mind (despite the pain of still-swollen and healing gashes on his face) that Chaos went wandering, just enjoying the ability to do so without worrying about what would happen to the pack in his absence. Oh, he was still needed as a capable warrior to back Tyrian up if another raid occurred, but he didn't need to worry about the things like keeping them fed or anything like that. Freedom, baby. Freedom and the wilds, the fresh breeze bringing scents of... well hello.

He paused with one paw still tucked up near his belly like a hunting dog coming to a point, sniffing that beautiful breeze. The smell of a woman, a stranger, and she was heading his way. Well, well, well, the day got better and better. Casually he closed the distance between them, stepping out of the vegetation that shielded them, and then didn't have to fake the surprise that left him blinking at her. Well, not only was she absolutely gorgeous, like daaamn was she stunning, but she had some weird little primate looking thing across her shoulders that startled the hell out of him and set him back on his heels. "Um," he said, so suavely. "Hi."

Looking for somewhere to spend the night was old news to Aggie & co. It was a tried and true ritual, nightly even, something they had grown used to long ago. Meander for X amount of hours, spend X amount of hours preparing a sleeping space, sleep for X amount of hours, repeat. It wasn't often interrupted. When it was. though... that's where things got interesting. Most often it was some scrabbly little twerp, and not that Aggie would ever, ever, belittle her clients but... To say that she'd doled out the majority of what herbs she had a mind to carry along for ailments such as the common cold was an understatement. Those rare exceptions were where the fun lay.

This male seemed to be a hair older, though of an age with Aggie all the same. Much larger than her too and, oh, what was this? She noted the long fangs protruding from his upper jaw straight away. Well Boreas did seem to have a knack for producing wolves of an.... unusual sort.. No matter, she had seen far stranger. "Um.... Hi." Right. Okay, she could work with this. Hilarious though it was, or might be, or at least seemed to be, she did have a mission here. He was neither a hollow nor a cave nor a den, so certainly not what she had been looking for. The ever-present feel of claws digging into her shoulder blades was evidence enough of that. Healer that she was, Asgeira couldn't help but wonder how he'd acquired the wounds she could see so clearly on his face. She wasn't one to pry though, and it wasn't as if his greeting left her much wiggle room anyways.

"Hello to you as well," she said by way of greeting. Aggie really was itching to ask about those spectacular wounds, more eager maybe to hear their story than to actually treat them but details. "That cove we just passed seemed lovely," Ylva murmured, clearly eager to pass this encounter by, but about as suave about it as this man had been in his greeting. "Are you from around here?" Aggie asked, mostly to vex her companion. She was rewarded with a tightened grip. "We were hoping to find a place to lay low for the evening."

The woman's casual response allowed him to regain his equilibrium a bit, and it helped that the primate looking thing didn't have the creepy little hands that monkeys usually had. He hated creepy little monkey hands.

He flashed the gorgeous female his best, most charming, fangiest grin despite the pull on his wounds. "As it happens my brother's pack claims territory not too far from here with several very comfortable large structures that a seasoned traveler such as yourself might find suitable for a good rest to recuperate. If you'd prefer a nearer, though less comfortable shelter there is a cave back that direction," he pointed one paw towards the beach where he knew a cave could be found. "I do believe that high tide floods it more than I'd be comfortable with, myself, but I will defer to your expert judgement in that." He swept a slight bow to her before straightening again.

"My name is Chaos Saxe," he offered, "if I may be so bold as to introduce myself to someone so lovely as you and your companion."

Aggie watched in real time as the male bounced back from his initial surprise. Honestly, she was impressed. She could count on one paw the number of males she'd met who could go from 'Yeah, this one's a lackwit,' to 'Well, hello to you too, Mr. Manners' that quickly. He was quick to offer up shelter in his brother's pack too which made her... nervous, for a number of reasons, but equally intrigued at the same time. It wasn't often that she'd met packwolves who were willing to dust off the den furs and welcome in strangers. The mental image of this packwolf dusting off the den furs was at least enough to make her laugh aloud.

Composing herself, Aggie asked, "And your brother wouldn't mind you abusing your familial privilege for little old me?" She tipped her head back towards Ylva, who's grip was ever tightening by the way, a sure sign of her displeasure. "Ylva here makes for a good bodyguard, but if we found ourselves on the wrong side of an entire pack I'm afraid there's only so much she would be able to do." Ylva lifted one paw and wiggled her digits, making her curved claws flash in the evening light. "Though I have to say my expert opinion agrees, soggy cave sounds like an adventure better suited for another time." Aggie tilted her head and considered him as he finally introduced himself as Chaos Saxe, a wry grin curling up on one side of her mouth at the emphasis put on just how lovely the two of them were. What an unusual man. Even through a a fangy lisp and despite his towering size, she couldn't deny that he was... perhaps a bit charming. "I'm Asgeira Aldfinnr, Aggie to my friends, and like I said, this is Ylva. The pleasure is ours, Bold Mr. Saxe." She looked skyward, looking to see how much light was left in the sky. It would appear that had a bit of time longer before true darkness fell. Plenty of time.

Aggie sat, tucking her tail close beside her paws. "Why don't you tell me more about this merry little band of yours. If you can convince me I'm not about to be gang-pressed into hard labor, maybe I'll take you up on your offer." She winked, and waited. To be fair it was a legitimate concern of hers, but that didn't mean she couldn't joke about it anyways. If she didn't make light of a potentially disastrous situation Ylva would probably think she was falling ill.
