Moonshine’s ash gray paws carried her through the unknown territory. Though she’d been instructed to remain near the den Moon held no reservations about exploring. She trotted confidently over the border between Ashen and the Armada, her tiny white form a brilliant beacon in the evening dusk. She held no feat however small she was, despite the dangers that lurked behind nearly every corner.
She followed some interesting scents, it was much like her den at home so she was drawn to it. Th scent of milk and puppies called to her and the tiny child quickly found herself at the mouth of the Armada Warlord’s den. Her bright blue eyes peeking in with curiosity, but for the first time in her young life she hesitated at the threshold.

Zee had been out of the den to collect some breakfast while the puppies slept. She returned with a rabbit in her mouth, and as she rounded the corner of the cove she saw a little bright white creature standing before the entrance. She couldn't scent the other easily from beyond the rabbit, and so she picked up a brisk pace to reach the mouth of the den before the 'intruder' could enter. Logically she knew there was very little chance for real danger - one of their many wolf or bird scouts would have called out if there was reason to worry - but regardless the new mother was protective.
Once she got closer, it became apparent that the little white pup was a wolf... sort of. She dropped the rabbit beside the entrance, sitting and leaning against the den's mouth to look over at the child. "Hello. I'm Zee. Are you one of Lucretia's puppies?" The more she tried to identify the child the more she realized. She smelled of Ashen, though her floppy ears spoke of dog and not wolf. Her colors were that of Lucretia's as well. She'd been too close to delivery herself to go visit them when they were born. From within the den she could hear tiny noises of frustration as the slumbering puppies began to wake and search for milk, and decided they could wait a moment while she learned exactly who it was she was to invite into her den.

Moonshine jumped at the sound of the rabbit being dropped on the ground beside her. Vibrant sky blue eyes widened as her attention shifted to the large form that suddenly appeared. However frightened she had been in the moment her tail didn’t cease to wag at a thousand miles a minute at her little rear. She grinned brightly up at the new wolf, ”Hello, Zee!” Her bright enthusiasm untamable.
The young girl could hear the puppies within and her bright features turned back to the den for a second, floppy ears perked as far forward as she could get them so she might hear them better. Only a moment later her attention was back on the adult, all smiles and rainbows. ”I am! That’s my Mommy.” She told her with the adoration for her mother obvious in her tones. ”Are those puppies in there?!” Moon questioned then, her attention quickly shifting to the next big thing.

The pup's lighthearted enthusiasm was quite infectious, and Zee couldn't help but smile down at the pup. One day hers too would be grown enough to venture out of the den, and she wondered if any of them would be as happy and bright as this child. "There are puppies in there." She confirmed with a soft chuckle. "Would you like to see them? You'll need to be kind of quiet, so you don't scare them." Her tone lowered as if to show the girl how she'd need to keep her tone controlled, and then she moved her head to pull back the hide doorway so Moo could step in. "And gentle with them, too. They're even smaller then you are." As an afterthought, when suddenly she wondered if a pup would know how to not injure a newborn.
