What About That Shadowy Place?

Gimli set off for what would be his second time beyond pack lands on his own. The first time had been after the volcano struck, his panic sending him running and getting lost until his mother found him near the borders of another western pack. Only this time, he wasn't lost. And he had gone of his own accord. It wasn't like anyone back home would care if he left, let alone notice he was gone. He often felt like he didn't quite belong, like a piece of him was missing in a sense. But he wasn't sure why or what. Part of him knew it was because he was struggling with who he was, he didn't know much of his heritage since his mom had left so soon before teaching him, and he sought answers...wherever they might be.

So he ended up here, but he didn't know where here was. He wasn't sure if he was looking for something in particular, or perhaps just exploring. Whatever the case, the youth trekked the swampland with bravery, unafraid of what this place held.
