Firefly Lake

Void ventured northward, almost daring the pack of Winterfell to attack now, to run into him first before they reached the destination of Abaven. Void didn’t often have much emotion, but he hated to see his alpha and cousin as stressed as she was because of something their supposed allies were doing. Her frustration rubbed off on him slightly, but he tried not to think on it too heavily.

He let himself enjoy the lands around him, the subtle setting of the sun. The stars would soon be popping out of the sky, but for now the yearling would enjoy the brilliant colors that lit up the sky and reflected on the lake. Void’s huge form reclined softly into the grass by the bank and he quieted, watching the show the sky was eager to put on.

Altair
After the ordeal with her capture and getting patched up, the femme thought now would be a good opportunity to go and explore the lands she had not visited in a while. The sky was a variety of colors as the stars would soon grace the world with their presence once the sun dissipated for the night. The night sky was always something that reminded her of her old home and family. Though Acere was her adoptive father, the young wolf could not help but think about her old family. Did they take their place among the stars now? Watching over her in the heavens that were outside this world? The thought made her feel a bit at ease, knowing the chance that they were still there somehow. At least, that was what the yearling wanted to assume.

The sound of nightlife reverberated in the fae’s ears, causing them to flick with interest, catching every tiny little sound they could. She didn’t want to be startled like before, so she kept her thoughts in check for now as she ventured towards the body of water. However, it would seem that someone had already beaten her to it. Her heart raced a fraction, even though they seemed to be around the same age despite their height differences. Altair mustered up the courage to move forward, sitting a good distance away from the stranger so as to not disturb them. However, their oat seemed to represent that of the night sky...it was truly magnificent though she would keep her comments to herself.

She sat her bodice down upon the ground, tail curling around it as she watched the sky change colors and waiting patiently for the constellations that reminded her so much of home. Altair did want to strike up a conversation, but the thought of being a bother continued to dwell within her mind. So, as of that moment; she kept everything to herself until the stranger said something.

Void was alone for a long few moments, but he enjoyed the solitude. Bright blue and lavender gaze watched the sky as the sun colored it brilliantly before leaving way for the stars to take over. By now he made himself comfortable, his massive frame lay curled in the long cradling grasses when the alabaster form of the she wolf appeared on the edge of the bank. She looked like she was about to say something and she shifted and seated herself a little ways off.

The boy hadn’t heard of wolves gathering here for the sunset, but as she struck up a pose similar to his own Void couldn’t deny his suspicion towards her actions. He was usually one to keep to himself, he was quiet and his emotions hardly broke through. Still, the possibility of common interest, the leats he could do was to ask.

”Are you waiting on the stars to come out?” His voice was as deep as it was smooth, it was filling out much better than his still lanky body.

Altair
Hearing the male's voice made Altair's body jump slightly from shock. She wasn't expecting him to strike up any sort of conversation, however, considering that she was legit standing a good distance away and was in his line of sight, she should have expected such a situation to transpire. But, his question was a nice one and seemed rather genuine. Her eye locked onto the starry-pelted male and nodded. The stars were always important to her, as were the constellations she grew up with knowing. It was a connection everyone in her family knew as a gentle, serene smile spread across her lips.

"Yes I am. I've always had a connection with the stars, ever since I was a tiny pup. My family told me all about the constellations and, it always made me feel close to them," Altair explained, trying to keep the conversation going. He seemed to have a similar interest much like herself, so perhaps it was a good conversation starter as well? Her tail swayed freely against the ground, albeit slow. Her meek nature was slowly starting to vanish, though it would definitely take some time before it was truly gone. "If it is alright, may I ask your name?"

Void hadn’t meant to startle the woman, but she recovered quickly as his eyes found hers and she nodded softly after his question. There were few moments in the boys life so full of emotion as the realization that the stars were gone after the eruption took place. He’d felt lost not only because his mother was gone, but also because he hadn’t even been able to take comfort in the sight of the stars in the sky. She offered more than a nod, and her voice took up its place in the early moments of night.

The star splattered yearling perked his silver marked ears as she explained her knowledge. Void wasn’t sure what constellations were, but he had enjoyed many nights looking into the sky and making pictures out of connected dots. ”Constellations?” He ventured to ask quietly, he’d never had anyone teach him anything about the stars. ”Void Destruction,” he answered her question easily and added, ”I’m from Abaven. What’s your name?”
