The path from his den to Satu's was one that had become incredibly familiar to Iorwerth during his time in Ludicael. He had begun to use it less and less as of late, partially because of the illness but mostly as his memories had been returning, he was figuring out who he was without the help of those around him. A while ago now he'd learnt why he lacked the connection with his family now, it wasn't simply that he couldn't remember them he'd never had the chance to get to know them in the first place. It had also explained why Satu had been unable to help him with some of his memory loss, she hadn't been present to know what had actually happened. For a while he'd been torn between trying now to correct that issue, though ultimately his colder nature had won and he had chosen to leave life as it was.

He'd certainly gotten closer to his sister though whether he was fully aware of that fact or not. The time they'd spent travelling to Ludicael and the times he had gone running to her for help certainly meant he couldn't help but come to care for his sister more than he had before. He was still hesitant to refer to her with the term now he recalled they'd spent barely any of their youth together but even he couldn't deny that she had found herself with a very rare position of a place in his heart.

That meant that he couldn't simply leave without saying goodbye it seemed. He had tried to sneak away though a concious had pulled him back and he'd stayed another few days as he attempted to work out what he'd say to Satu. Would a simple goodbye do or would she expect more? In the end there was only one way to find out and now he found himself once more outside of her den.

"Satu" He called, though he took a couple of steps back from the entrance allowing her to emerge rather than intrude upon her home. He had been rather private about his own den, even when it had occurred to him that it truly was only a temporary one. He had to move on, move home in fact, there was a pack waiting for him he now remembered.

Satu emerged blinking from her den at her brother's call. A yawn split her jaws, testifying to the fact that she had just woken up from sleep. She'd been sleeping a lot to make up for being sick, but it was getting a lot better now. Iorwerth was looking a lot better too, actually. Better than he had even since she'd brought him to Ludicael after the earthquake. "Hey Ior, what are you up to?" Half asleep still it didn't occur to her to be concerned about Iorwerth's feelings about a nickname - which were really silly feelings as far as she was concerned. She stretched before plopping herself down in front of her brother.

Nicknames were not things that Iorwerth had suffered until he had left Uroril. His father had always used his full name and despite his distaste for the man, Iorwerth had certainly been glad. It was his mother's nickname that had been the worst, though Ior certainly wasn't acceptable either in his opinion and a small frown would cross his features to demonstrate that fact. Tired or not she shouldn't call him that. "Iorwerth." He corrected her simply.

Most may have apologised for disturbing her, perhaps offered to come back when she was a little more awake though of course that social etiquette would escape him. He wanted to speak to her now and so he would. Chances are he wouldn't actually say goodbye otherwise, he planned on leaving straight afterwards.

"I am leaving now." He wouldn't beat around the bush about that either, straight to the point and no small talk either. He was perfectly calm as he spoke, a blank slate even a big event like this would not be given the emotion or dramatics it likely deserved.

Satu just get a sigh and mentally rolled her eyes when he corrected her use of a shortened version of his name. Was it her fault that their mother had named him a mouthful of a name? "Iorrrwerrrrth," she repeated, deliberately drawing out the name. But it was then that her brother would declare that he was leaving now. For a moment Satu blinked at him in confusion. "You just got here," she complained. "Why'd you wake me up if you were just going to go away agai - oh." Her sleepy brain had finally caught up to the conversation and she looked at him with much more seriousness. "You're talking about leaving Ludicael, aren't you?" Mixed feelings assailed the young girl - she shouldn't want him to go, but at the same time she was looking forward to the freedom of not needing to be... sisterly all the time. Was that wrong of her? Troubled, she looked away.

What was so difficult about his name, whilst Satu may have only been four letters the syllables were the same in his own therefore Cirala technically had the longest name. He wouldn't approve too much of her mockery of his correction though he would tolerate that a little more, she would hopefully grow bored of it and of course he wouldn't be around to put up with it for much longer anyway.

Satu's first assumption would simply be that he was going to leave her alone though soon she realised what he meant and suddenly calmed. She wouldn't say much upon that fact and would in fact look away. "Yes." Iorwerth confirmed what she had now realised with a short nod of his head. The silence hung in the air for a moment before he spoke again. "Given your assistance over the past months I thought it just to inform you." Always so formal, he wouldn't and couldn't relax even now. He only really had goodbye left to say now though didn't he and then he could be on his way, he would wait though just in case she had anything to add.

Satu still couldn't decide how she felt about all this. Maybe part of her still hoped that Iorwerth would magically change into the loving, heroic brother she had always imagined he would be. Part of her was relieved he was going, so she wouldn't have to keep putting the effort into a relationship that had been doomed since their father took him away. Most of her felt horribly guilty for both. She should love her brother no matter what, right? And she did... she just wasn't sure she wanted to spend time with him.

"Are you going back to Seracia?" she asked, her voice more subdued than usual. She tried to ignore the cold formality of his words, his voice. There was something about Seracia that she felt was really, really important for him to know but she couldn't quite remember... "I could... I could go with you? I mean, just until you got to the border. Make sure you got there safely and everything?" She made the offer, but she knew he wouldn't accept. Iorwerth wanted to be with her far less than she wanted to be with him, and undoubtedly it would prick at his pride that he might need to be babysat, but... she made the offer anyway. He was family, and it was what she should do, right? And what was it she had needed to tell him about Seracia anyway?

It would probably be wonderful for Satu to hear some of the things that Iorwerth had got up to in Seracia. Whilst still not the loving man she had always hoped her brother to be he'd certainly been a loyal member to his pack and acted rather heroically on a couple of occasions. The new environment had been good for him, he wasn't expected to play happy families or pretend he was fine with being cast aside by the only family he had really known.

Here in Ludicael though he could feel that something just wasn't right. He didn't fit, it was almost like Ahlon all over again only missing his mother and one of his sisters. Originally he'd put the feeling down to his memory loss though as he regained it he realised what the problem was, none of this so called family really knew him and he didn't know them. He had remembered why he'd left Ahlon and now he had to do the same with Ludicael.

"I was a part of the pack, I owe an explanation for deserting them." He responded. He had no idea if they would take him back and if they didn't he would survive but he had to at least try redeem his reputation there. "I can make it back safely on my own. You stay here with the family." It was a big leap right there, referring to them as 'the family' rather than 'your family'. He still wasn't ready to call them his own family, though Satu had certainly brought him closer to that then anyone else.

Satu felt like she should prolong the conversation, somehow, maybe somehow convince him to stay with their family after all, but all that there was to say had been said. He was leaving the family, he was going back to Seracia, and he didn't want her company on the way there. Stay with the family, he said, and maybe that was exactly what she should do. Still it felt like she should be putting more effort into keeping her brother with her, like she wasn't doing as she should be by letting him go... But what more could she even do? "Ok, Iorwerth," she said finally, quietly. "Have a safe trip, brother."
