She knew that she had to leave before the first big snowfall if she was going to make the journey safely. At least that much her father could appreciate. They had come home from the raid with their spirits slightly squashed and Lumi knew that there was more raiding to come. She wasn't a fighter, so at least she could take comfort in that she wasn't letting the pack down more than she already was. The little white girl had been raised with a sense of pride but she'd always had a keen, internal sense of right and wrong. As much as her mind told her that was she being ungrateful, disrespectful, and some much crueler words... Lumi couldn't deny the yearning in her heart. She'd carry the guilt within her but perhaps she'd be able to bury it deep enough one day that it would no longer hurt like an open wound. Was it so wrong that she wanted to see the wide open world? But beyond the freedom she sought, Lumi wanted to seek out Fireside and their menagerie. Tyrian had lit a spark within her that had kindled over the past few months. Was it crazy? Probably. But they had horses. With one last look at the forest behind her, the small wolf sang a hopeful song of goodbye as she set out towards her future.
