Aslaug was new to this place, and because of that excitement burst within her chest. The place seemed stunning at first glance, with a huge amount of avians of all shapes and sizes, the soil itself was a new thing. Humid it felt under her feet and a soft smile remained on her mouth. Traveling with her family taught her a lot, a lot about life, and the so many places one could explore, and the excitement was always in the highest of levels regardless of how many times she had come to unknown lands.

And this one seemed promising, and many questions formed behind those blue eyes. 'Why is the soil so humid? Where I am?' She asked herself looking around, but the only way she could solve her inquiries was by asking someone, and who else would it be if not her parents who she saw as the wisest wolves on there.

Even though she was sad to leave the wolves they had grown up with, coming to his new place was incredibly exciting and the closer they got to the pack their mother had been talking about the more excited she got. She wandered away from her parent's sides with her sister when they stopped to rest and was eager to go and explore this place that seemed to be so full of bird song that it filled the air around them. The light gray young woman kept her two-tone gaze turned curiously up toward the trees, peeking the song birds that rested on their branches. As they reached the more open part of the estuary, she spotted a few cranes that were lingering in the waters - pausing to watch them with a soft "Ooooh..." of interest.

"What do you think it's like to be a bird?" she asked softly, leaning toward Aslaug so she wouldn't scare off the birds with her speech. She grinned and chuckled at the ridiculous idea, but she was still genuinely curious. If there was anything that their parents had instilled in them it was to be curious and that no question was a stupid question. It was fun to wonder about things, even if they weren't exactly helpful questions to ask. "Wouldn't be so much fun to be able to just fly wherever you wanted? This trip would have been so much faster if we could fly!"

She started to scan the ground just to see what else she could find and her gaze landed on a big clump of horsetail. Her tail wagged happily and she trotted over to the plant, glancing over her shoulder at her sister again. "This place even has good herbs!" She bent her head and started picking off several big pieces of the plant and making a small pile to take back to their mother. It was the beginning of winter so herbs were going to start becoming more and more scarce so maybe it would be nice to gather a few herbs to take with them to the new pack as a... Welcome gift? Greeting gift? Either way, she couldn't let this go to waste!

Coming here was exciting, but she, of course, missed those that they left behind. They were after all part of her childhood and saying goodies were never easy for her, and maybe for her parents and siblings too though she could only guess. Her mother told her about a pack, the pack they would eventually join and of course, Aslaug felt unsure. They would be meeting strangers, and even though meeting new faces was cool, she still had her doubts. She didn't know what to wait once they joined, but as she trusted her parents with her life, she would follow their path, they were wise so she shouldn't doubt their judgment.

She paused her walk to take a better look at the place she now was standing in. "What do you think it's like to be a bird?" Her sister's words came upon her ears and with a big smile she would turn at her, tail wagged faintly behind her. "It could be fun to fly, though I'd prefer walking. To feel the soil under my feet." She answered with her natural soft and calm voice.  "Wouldn't be so much fun to be able to just fly wherever you wanted? This trip would have been so much faster if we could fly!" "That's a good point, but i think its more satisfying to work hard to archive a destiny. But yes, sometimes one could need some quick ways to get there."

"This place even has good herbs!" She nodded with a calm expression. "And prey! This place is very promising don't you think Elba?" This time she spoke in an even lower voice to avoid scaring off the birds.

She shifted her blue and green gaze to Aslaug, her ears flicking forward to catch her reasons for why she would prefer to remain planted firmly on the ground. Her sister was the more reasonable and level headed one between the two of them and it made her grin. At least one of them had their paws on the ground. Elba was ready to run head first into the next wild adventure and hardly ever hesitated to ponder the hypothetical and dream the biggest dreams she could possibly find. She liked her sister's sensibility though. It always offered her a different way to look at something and made her think more deeply about things.

Aslaug pointing out how this place had a good supply of prey as well made her glance up from the herbs she was gathering to nod in agreement. "It is! I'm glad we'll be living so close to this place. I think mother said the pack we were looking for is just a little further that way-" she replied, punctuating her point with a nod of her head back toward where the estuary shifted into a flatter, grassier plain. At least it would be easy for her to come back here to collect more herbs once she and her mother really began to rebuild their store of supplies.

That had been one of the things that she had been the most sad about leaving. She had collected such a good amount of some really helpful herbs and it had been impossible to bring them with her to their new home. At least she had been able to gift them to some of the other wolves in their old band that could make use of them. She gathered up the horsetail she had gathered into a cluster tight enough for her to pick it up delicately between her teeth. Elba carried it back over to her sister, grinning proudly around the long, green pieces of plant.

The place was certainly a beauty and being there with her sister gave her joy though she didnt show it too openly but still with an smile planted on her face. Her sister's energy was something she enjoyed, she was eloquent and fun to be around with. She was different than her in that way, but both shared the desire to explore and find new paths and things in their never-ending adventures, and she surely would join her."It is! I'm glad we'll be living so close to this place. I think mother said the pack we were looking for is just a little further that way-"

"At least we will have fun things to do! And new places to explore! Who knows what other lands will find." She exclaimed in joy as she looked at her sister. "Are you excited about this pack? And what would you like to do? I mean,a duty?" She asked calmly as she took a seat there where she was standing. The wind pulling her golden and brown hair away. "I am not sure myself, I trust mother with her choices and if she is sure about this pack I will as well, but I still have my doubts. Complete strangers, and who knows what kind of pack they could be." She gave her opinion, being sincere with her feelings despite trusting her parent's decisions.

"Would you like to do something? We could explore or do anything you wish. Or come back with mom." She offered, maybe they could do something fun together.

Elba hummed thoughtfully when Aslaug asked for her opinion on the pack they would be going to find and what duty she would like to have. "I'm definitely excited! I just can't decide if I'd rather be a healer or a fighter... I'm kind of leaning toward fighter, but I don't want mom to be the only healer if this pack doesn't have many of them like our old band did so maybe I'll wait to see what they need before I decide. Or maybe I can do both! We'll have to see how they have stuff set up there." She wasn't incredibly picky between the two studies since she loved them both equally and really she would keep practicing and studying both things no matter what her assigned task was in the pack.

She could certainly understand where her sister was coming from when she voiced her concerns, but Elba wanted to dispel them as quickly as she could. She got up and trotted over to her sister's side, saying, "Hey, don't be too worried!" She gave her an encouraging grin and playfully nudged Aslaug's shoulder with her own. "It won't be all strangers, right? Baine and Nolan should be there so that's two familiar faces already! Maybe Casso decided to stay there too." She definitely hoped their great aunt and cousins would be there - at least Baine and Nolan. She wasn't sure what Casso's plan had been, but either way there was definitely going to be familiar family there when they arrived. "Plus, we're supposed to have a bunch of family there too and I'm sure they'll all be super nice!"

With her encouragement given, Elba turned her two-toned gaze back toward the estuary around them. Her head tipped to the side thoughtfully while she tried to decide what she'd like to do next. An idea hit her and she turned to Aslaug with a grin. "Why don't we do a little hunting while we're out here? I have some herbs to bring back to mom, but wouldn't dad be proud if we brought back some food too?" With that plan in mind, she gathered up the horsetail she had gathered and found a dry spot between some grasses she could leave them where they wouldn't get lost. "What do you think, fish or birds? There's some ducks over there we could probably catch!"
