Settling beneath the pines Mæva eyes the rabbit tracks that crossed over the freshly fallen snow. They looped over the terrain but so far she didn't see any rabbits. The sky above her was gray and sullen but there didn't seem to be a storm brewing, at least not yet. Mæva got back to work carefully piling snow and dirt over the opening of a rabbit den. She'd found it by luck but there was no rabbit in it. Fine. With luck maybe the rabbit that was leaving all these tracks was also the rabbit whose den this was. If that was the case maybe she could trap it outside its den.
Mæva stalked away seeking another area of cover to wait until she caught sight of the rabbit. The wind picked up but apart from that the land was silent. She wasn't sure how long she waited but eventually she caught sight of a little gray rabbit hopping through the snow. Mæva moved slowly and deliberately as she coiled her legs beneath her. The rabbit paused. So did Mæva.
Leaping forward she charged toward the rabbit sending snow flying into the air. Mæva twisted and turned with the speedy creature and grinned as she saw it swerve suddenly toward the pines. Mæva put on a burst of speed. The rabbit skittered as it tried to dive into a den entrance that was no longer there. In that moment Mæva had the creature in her jaws. It bleated and squealed its last breath then fell silent.

Aslaug found herself in a new place, adventurous by nature it would be hard for her to stay for long in one place.Of course she was to come back to her new home soon, but for now she wanted to travel. And as she did she found herself in a kind of field with trees in some places and at the distance, she saw movement,a wolf pup hunting. But wishing not to intrude she sniffed the air. Seeing such an event made her stomach make noises. Hunger was on the way. Calmly she looked around, sniffing to try finding prey on her own. She was a mere learner in the arts of the hunting but it didn't stop her from trying. And there she spotted a small pig clumsily roaming without seeing her. Slowly she crouched and would then start approaching hopping to be as silent as possible and then as she felt close enough she rose up and started to chase the animal with complete focus on the target. Tail rose for balance and without hesitation, she ran and ran. As she kept the pig almost lost balance upon jumping on a fallen log,Aslaug followed closely and in a quick way she would attempt to corner it and in the process, the pig crashed against the floor but the wolf didn't come out unbothered either as the slippery floor due to the frost made her paws slip away. As quick as she could she tried to stand up again and quickly she charged grabbing the piggy by its scruff for then trying to make it lay on its back and in a blink she got her jaws on it throat hoping to snap it, and as hard as she could she did so but more than it died from it , it did due to a heart attack.Well that helped alot. |

The Warlord shook snow from his coat, and put his nose back to earth, finding the scent he sought. The smell of prey was stronger, and he knew he was almost upon it. The snow continued to fall, and the Warlord knew his trap was well covered by a white layer. He came upon the steam at last, approaching from the opposite direction he had first seen his prey. He let himself be seen, let the crunch of snow beneath his paws echo. The creature looked up, its bill still filled with the fish it had caught in water almost fully frozen. As it saw the danger, the stalk spread out its wings. It was not a bird that could catch flight in a heartbeat. It began to run, long legs splashing water, and then grass. Moments before it could lift into the air, its foot caught the trap he had prepared under the snow, and the limb broke with a snap. It crashed to the ground in a flurry of snow, and Sirius, who had already began to run, fell upon it. He cut deeply into its neck, and put the creature from its misery, clearing away snow with his paws, and pulling the creature clear of the snapping trap he had placed well in its path. He broke the hinges of the trap so it could not cause havoc for no reason. "Speech"
