The Warlord waited for his newest recruit to get settled, and then moved of in search of Magnus. It seemed terribly auspicious to the Warlord that the warrior would mention an interest in taking on a student surely before one arrived.
Teaching would be educational for Magnus as well, and be a learning experience for the both of them. With this in mind, Seer made his way down to the beach, where he knew Magnus was scheduled to start his border patrol. It was his intention to walk part of the patrol with the man, and go over the particulars of his newest apprentice.
Shortly after entering the beach territory, he caught site of the main, and angled his approach towards him.

He'd been patrolling quietly at the beach, occasionally stopping to let the waters lap over his paws and clean them from the sand that they'd acquired every few steps. He wasn't fond of the gritty substance, especially when he found it trapped in his fur or between his toes. Even letting the chilly ocean water clean it off was better than dealing with it for more than a few seconds. He'd probably never adapt to life on a beach, but he was adapting well to life in the Armada. If only it had taken up residence away from the ocean, however.
Hearing someone approach from behind, he turned and smiled at Sirius as his eyes settled on his massive frame. "Anything I can do for you?" He questioned, assuming the man had sought him out for something in particular. Maybe it was about the apprentice they spoke of, or something else entirely. He was welcome to take on any job the man had to offer him, it was just a matter of waiting to see what it would be.

Sirius nodded his head to Magnus in greeting, and pulled to a stop beside him. The beach, which was used more as a training ground than living quarters, stretched out before them. The tide, when it rose, washed away the blood and grime left behind by fighting warriors, and kept the land clean, and purged fresh. Poor Magnus, if the Warlord did see him situated as a Lieutenant, as he intended, he would spend much of his life on this sandy territory. “Indeed,” Sirius agreed, letting the conversion move quickly to his intended subject. He hadn’t found Magnus overly fond of chatter in the short time he had known him, and the Warlord was much the same. “A have accepted a new student into the pack. I would have you take her on as an Apprentice, if you feel up to the task” He wished to see how Magnus taught, and took control. Taking on an apprentice was the perfect way for Sirius to test those skills. "Speech"

The warlord had come to a stop next to him and Magnus looked up to meet his gaze, curious when he had agreed that he had something for Magnus to do for him. He wasn't surprised when he brought up an Apprentice again, and he tossed the idea around in his head some more. He had picked up on the scents of new members, though he had hardly taken the time to search for them and introduce himself. Magnus was not the kind to seek others out really, especially for just being a new member. Had he been made a part of the welcoming committee, well, maybe then it'd be a different story.
He nodded at Sirius' request, agreeing simply to take them on. "Of course," He responded in time with his nod. He'd never taken an apprentice before, but it wasn't an idea he was against. Everyone needed to be on the same page with the fighting abilities, or at least have an understanding. They were only as strong as their weakest member, anyway, and if Sirius thought him strong enough to teach, well then he'd at least give it a shot.

Magnus barely needed a moment to consider it, he had been waiting for the chance to take on an apprentice, he had mentioned as much to Sirius when the Warlord had given the man his position as warrior. “Excellent” he said, rising to his feet once more.
“Her name is Kaizer, and you will be in charge of training her, and preparing her for the rank of warrior.” he explained. The style of that training he would leave in the hands of Magnus. He would keep an eye on the two of them, and assess from afar. Working Magnus up into the position the Warlord intended for him.

He listened as Sirius spoke, memorizing the girls name and taking note to call for her later and make her aware of this new arrangement. Magnus hadn't met the girl yet and hardly wanted to tear her from her duties if she'd be in the middle of them for a training session. He'd prefer to schedule it with her, but would focus on that when it was time. He nodded once again to Sirius, eager to prove himself as well as train the new recruit.
"I'll make sure she's ready." His tone was serious, as always. He held little regard for males or females in battle, as he'd been shown many times women could battle just as well as a man. He hoped she'd be a quick study though, for his patience was thin despite how well he hid it.

The Warlord nodded giving another brief thought to the newcomer, before moving the topic on. He began to walk, sand crunching beneath his massive paws. “I’ve been catching the scent of a group of harris hawks near our scent pile recently.” he began, flying predators were always much harder to deal with then grounded ones.
“I was thinking of laying a trap for them, if you wished to join me” Magnus was a handy wolf to have in a fight, and he knew the man would be valuable for something as difficult as a group of flyers. He would need to kill all, or a large portion of them, to ensure they never bothered the pack again.

Magnus thought about the girl he would train until Sirius spoke again changing the subject to a group of birds he intended to rid the pack lands of. He'd noticed the scent of them himself, but wasn't aware they were causing much issue until the warlord had brought it up. When he'd mentioned laying a trap, his ears perked and he was immediately interested. Having never laid a trap before, he was eager to learn how and see how successful they were. Birds were known for being notoriously difficult to hunt, so the idea of trapping them was almost exciting.
"I would like to. I've never used a trap before, I'm interested in how they work." He moved along with Sirius, padding through the waves as it passed back and forth over his paws, ridding them of the sand as it collected.
