bubbles on the surface

her hind swung, settled in the air with a playful appeal. eye glued to the surface of the water, seeking bubbles along the surface to angle her next attack. upon exploration she left the treeline long behind her, drifting away from the crashing waterfall to the lapping of ocean waves. following along brought her all sights to see, mice to snap up. a bunny just earlier. some of it still stained her chest. she had danced around in the sand, after deciding if it was something she should eat or not. but it warms between her toes, comfortable against her limbs as she moved.. but likely awkward if she desired to pick up spreed. she covered an area of sand with her foot prints, bouncing along and through the objects mixed within in.. but the scurrying of an animal zoned in her focus. watching it flee into the water, a paw shooting in after it. only to be snipped by something sharp, a fresh cut against the pad of her feet. it was meant to be a warning, but she simply found it more entertaining. happily glued to the forming bubbles and smacking her paw into the water to battle it again. what could it be? was it something she could eat? or have any desire to eat? was it more dangerous for her to continue to prod at it? or was it simply.. a crab brimming with ready defense? blind in her left eye. words rarely spoken. yet a voice within her head.
