The little whiskered pup was pouting by the flower beds of wild, coloured growth. His puppa had sent him and Haiku off to play in different directions today. Had told him that they needed to learn ‘indi-vid-ual-ism’ whatever that was. If it didn’t include Ku, then actually he didn’t want it.

He violently nipped at the stems of the flowers, until they fell over. Once they had fallen, he felt a little bad, and tried to push them back up again. Without stalks holding them in place, they refused to stand. He stuck a tongue past his lips in a face of concentration, before giving up. He grabbed the plucked flowers, and tucked them behind his ear. He had seen wolves wandering around Abaven with feathers behind their ears. Maybe it worked with flowers too, right?
Man he missed Ku.

"Speech"

Suspense had never seen her brothers without each other! What was a bit of a disappointing day for Senryū was a very exciting moment for the tiny girl. Suspense spotted her much bigger brother and bound over to him, her tiny little legs stiff as boards as she bounced. "Ru, Ru!" She called out as she bounced towards him. Sometimes her papa would call the boys the wrong names, and more than once she'd caught mama peering at their ears before announcing their names but Suspense hadn't ever struggled to tell them apart. Not yet anyway, so she felt confident in calling out the nickname for one of her near-identical brothers. As she got closer she stopped bouncing instead waddling over on uneven legs so she was standing right before her brother, feeling no qualms about almost pushing right into him, she grinned up at Senryū. Whatcha doin'? She asked, leaning back so far to look at what it was he'd shoved behind his ear that the little girl tumbled off her paws and onto her back. She lay there for a moment, giggling and paws flailing in the air, from this angle she could actually see what it was and the idea of a flower behind her brother's ear made her jump back onto her own paws. "Me too! Me too!" She said, once again bouncing. "Speech" Think

Ru loved being mistaken for his brother, it was one of his little treasures in life. He considered, after all, that he and Ku were one wolf. Split, for some weird reason, at birth. It only made sense that he was, after all, Ku, as well as Ru. He was Ruku. and he had no idea why his Pa wanted to separate himself. It was silly!

When Suspense called his name, he glanced up, and over, and down… down… down. Suspense had come out tiny, and that seemed to be the state she was staying in. Ru seemed to grow after every sleep, and he could not get enough to eat. He was just about eating his parents out of the house.

Suspense stopped right before him, and he bent down to push his nose to that of his little sisters. She was too small to get into some of the mischief he and Ku got into. So, that made it his job to help her achieve trouble, whenever they could find it. “SeSe” he teased her, grabbing for one of his flowers, a little blue tulip and trotted closer to where she fell. She was already bouncing back to her paws, and pushing it behind her ear. “There!” he exclaimed in delight.

"Speech"

A delighted squeal left Suspense's lips as Senryū slipped a flower behind her own ear. She wiggled happily, overjoyed that they could match even a little bit. "We pretty now!" She exclaimed. She bounced there for a moment. Then she dropped into a play bow, her little triangle tail beating the air fast enough and with enough strength to wiggle her whole rump. "Wha now?" She asked, though Suspense sometimes got her own ideas she was more than happy to follow her sibling's suggestions. They always seemed to have such fun ideas, at least to her mind. Besides her brothers could see things better than she could so knew if anything interesting was around. As she waited the girl would dart forward and nibble playfully on her brother's paws for a few moments, then bounce back as if attacking him and seeing if he was going to retaliate. "Speech" Think

“Your always pretty, Suspense.” he pointed out, laughing in delight at her little bow. He bent down and touched his nose to hers, through it was hard to plant it right, she was wiggling so much. Suspense was so tiny, from day one, she had been a tinsy bug that the others had to be careful not to squish. He wondered if she would always stay small, or if she would start to shoot up any day now. Like him and Haiku had been doing.

“Now…” he tilted his head thoughtfully, and looked down at the tiny girl. They were the same age, but the size difference between them was so great that… he wiggled down to his stomach. “Hop aboard, we’re going for an adventure!”
