Breathe

The alabaster king woke up early and went out on patrol. It was just before dawn, the sun still hadn't come up yet, which left the world still feeling cold. It didn't bother him too much though. His breath came out in white puffs as he walked the perimeter in a slow and steady pace, the world around him quiet and calm. His thoughts were much the same. Especially now that the debt to Hjarrandi was over and done with. Never again would he make such a deal - or any deal (depending on what it was - without talking to the pack about it first. At least, not a deal so big without getting the input of his trusted members. He was sure the trust of the pack was strained for a time because of that, but it was a lesson learned. Now he could actually breathe and not worry about it anymore.
