Bison Hunt [Competition]

Wyndelin grinned at Halla and Aslaug as they were assigned to a team. He also offered a cheerful hello to Sunder who would be joining their hunt for bison. He was eager to get started, but also a little nervous. His magpie companion flew down and landed near him, the bird hopping forward. "There's a herd of bison still grazing on the northern side of the dancefloor." Wyndelin nodded. He'd seen them earlier when he'd been out exploring and with the land so flat it hadn't been hard to spot them. He was still grateful for Flikkr's help. Having a pair of eyes in the sky was extremely helpful when locating prey. "Ok, let's go ahead and get closer and see what we might have for potential targets." There wasn't much point working out a plan until they knew what they had to work with. He took off toward the northern ranger of the dancefloor. "Talk" |

Aslaug was ready to start the competition, one that could be marking her start in a more profesional liege in hunting as she wont only hunt but skin and process the meat too.And that was somthing she didnt know at much as other should but well she was ready to still give her best and maybe learn on the process. Calmly and in silence she stood beside the wolves she was going to huntwith but say nothing as she was waiing for any instructions the may will want to give."What about that old bull? Seems sick. If the infection is in his lungs we might have an easier time running him down." "Let's go for it!" She said happily ready to begin the hunt. This was going to be one of her best days in her life so far. |

Sunder trailed a bit behind the wolves as they made their way towards the herd, catching up only once the group stopped to discuss targets. His ears swiveled to catch their voices but he didn't answer right away. Instead he looked the herd over in search of a good target. He'd never hunted anything so big before, but the mechanics were the same as the smaller game he was used to. Target a weakness, chase it down, etc. These creatures looked like the type that weren't too afraid to stand and fight, however, so he'd have to keep that in mind. "Da sick booll look good, yah." It was the obvious choice and he wasn't about to disagree with that. These bison didn't appear to be the sort of prey to trifle with.

Wyndelin followed Halla's gaze to the sick, old bull. He was definitely a good target and as Wyndelin didn't see too many other targets that would be a good one to go to. He looked to Aslaug and Sunder. Aslaug was quick to agree and he… was pretty sure Sunder had agreed as well. He was not quite sure of the dog's language and words but he caught the 'yah'. That was close enough to a yes for him. Wyndelin nodded. "Alright, then let's do this. Let's get as close as we can then spring at them suddenly to get them running. We have a lot of open space to run the bison down. The sick bull will likely fall behind and we can take it down when it's tired and winded." Wyndelin took up his position then started slinking forward toward the bison herd. He kept himself fairly low to the ground until he got as close as he thought he could. With a snarl Wyndelin erupted out of the grass, seeking to startle the bison. The nearest ones jumped in surprise and started running, one by one the others followed. "Talk" |
