As Aryn dismissed him Lachlan couldn’t decide what he wanted to do. He swung between letting go and enjoying the party, going with the flow and seeing where all of the intoxicants might take him. Then on the backswing he just wanted to stay close to his sister to at least half help keep an eye out on her. The pale young man wasn’t sure what to do and wound up somewhere in the middle. He could kind of still see Aryn and Eligos but he was also settled close to the fire with a bit of booze and solitude.

Honestly he felt like he was a little out of place, nothing like this would happen in Lirim, something he was giving a lot of thought to. He was learning a whole lot, some of it he kind of wished he could burn from his mind. It was safest to keep his blue gaze on the fire as he enjoyed his drink.

Abby stumbled to the fire, out of exhaustion rather than drunkeness, though she was still very much drunk. This night was exhausting all of her senses at once, and she hadn't succeeded in finding a good, safe(ish) spot to nap. She settled for the warm blaze of the fire.

She noticed the young man sitting by the fire, and was immediately enamored by the fact that she was taller than him. Had she always been this large? Her mind and memories escaped her. She could've been a squirrel before this for all she knew.
"Enjoying the fffucking party?" She slurred, quoting Adrianus in what she thought was a very clever play on words, as to her it seemed the white and red man was not.

'Hehe, tiny man.' somewhere in her brain said, and she giggled to herself. Yeah, she was killing it tonight.

If he didn’t go off and find somewhere warm to cozy up for the night soon he might very well stay up until the morning. Lachlan debated about going straight home, though he didn’t realize yet what a hangover was he would when he woke up. Other than his unending regret his body was feeling good. His gaze half lidded and his body feeling liquid like his attention was grabbed by his sudden company.

Her words seemed to have more than one meaning, and sober Lachlan would have scoffed at the joke, but drunk Lachlan kind of laughed it off. He hadn’t admitted yet that all the… intimacy.. was getting to him. He was really upset he’d brought his sister into all of this. ”I don’t know if it’s..” hiccup ”My kind of party.” He tried to smile up at her, as most of the other wolves here she was tall. Even sitting in his sphynx like position he could tell she held a few inches over him. ”Are you?” He asked her softly in return, inappropriately wondering if she’d been enjoying the deeper meaning of her own words.

She sat by him, maybe too close, but she couldn't tell as pretty much any and all spatial awareness was beyond her at this point. To be honest, maybe coordination wasn't something she really needed here.

"Well youu gotta make it YOUr party."She said with knowledge of all her ancestors combined, even though she had no idea what it actually meant. "You gotta... fuck a BEAR." She said in her infinite wisdom, almost yelling. She was actually referring to Adrianus, but the connection between him and bear would be hard to make with a sober mind. Come to think of it, what even was a bear?

She yawned loudly, pondering the question. In a moment of brief reflection she replied; "I think I'm literally too drunk to tell." But whatever fleeting sense of responsibility was gone as quickly as it came. "Have you fucked a BEAR?" she asked, this time properly yelling.

Though he wondered why it was her proximity made him grin he didn’t mind her intruding on his personal space. His mind would mostly be full of him beating himself up but as the mottled girl spoke Lachlan wasn’t sure what to think. She was definitely a pretty she wolf, but even with his own inebriation he could tell he decisions might not have been the best that night. Ugh, hopefully Aryn was keeping to her senses… He tried not to devolve into a self hating mess, and it was easy as her words distracted him.

Bright blue eyes widened as he craned his leg to look at her. Did she even know what she just said? ”I am not going to expose myself to any kind of… bear!” He told her matter of factly. Those parts were precious and the last creature he was going to let see was a bear. ”Shh!” He tried to settle her, maybe it would have been a better idea to go find Aryn.. ”No, I haven’t. Please tell me that you haven’t either.” She was so loud, and obviously had ingested much more liquor than he had.

Her dumb grin disappeared quickly at the poor boy's confused stress. Was she to blame? Poor tiny man.
He wasn't actually too much smaller than her, but that didn't stop her from attempting to scoop Lachlan into her arms, which would turn into an awkward hug due to the fact she physically couldn't. However this attempt to bring him closer would go, she'd still try to pat his head softly in an effort comfort him. "Shhh," She hushed him like a pup. "We all fuck a bear one day." She made sure to keep her voice lower, as she'd managed to piece together that the loudly talking about screwing a bear had been the source of distress.

He’d barely had time to ask her to clarify when she wrapped her arms around him. For a moment Lachlan resisted her affection, but the warmth and closeness of her was oddly comforting to his frazzled mind. The young man settled against her chest as she soothed him. Her words were absolutely no comfort at all, but the steady beat of her heart and the soft touch of her fur did. Lachlan shook his head in argument but he didn’t say anything as he settled against her. Wrapping his pale paws around her easily as the alcohol bid him to. Aryn returned to his mind though, and suddenly his body grew incredibly hot. For a moment he tried to remain where he was, while the girl was nuts or just too drunk, she was comfortable. When he thought he was going to die Lachlan released her and tried to wiggle out of her arms. Maybe it was time to hit the ocean. ”Do you wanna get in the water with me?”

Even drunk, Abby was surprised when the other wolf settled into her forceful embrace. She was very much prepared for him to attempt to wriggle out of her grasp, though she didn't really understand why she had jumped to that conclusion.
She realized that she hadn't had a hug from anyone, much less a stranger in a long while. She had missed them. She let him leave her arms without struggle, satisfied with the comfort she had provided, although disappointed that he hadn't stayed longer. However, her face lt up when the boy proposed a swim. "Sure!" she said with enthusiasm. Her pelt was hot on her back, and the ocean promised fish. Maybe she could catch one, though the prospect seemed more and more unachievable as she almost tripped on her own paws rising to her feet.

He wasn’t used to appreciating affection like he was as the two of them held each other on the sand. It didn’t matter that they didn’t know each other very well, it was having that support of someone else’s arms around them. Lachlan wouldn’t have let go if he wasn’t about to die of heatstroke. Thankfully she was quite agreeable and let him go easily before following him towards the dark waters. He was a little timid, uncertain of the water that he couldn’t see through very well. They should have been fine in the shallows though, right? Right?

Lachlan was hesitant at first but then jumped eagerly into the water. The cool of the ocean made him forget the heat and drunkenness for just a moment as it soaked through his coat. ”Ahhh.” He spoke aloud as he found his feet and let the waves wash over his legs.

Abby followed him with the same enthusiasm, maybe more. She enjoyed swimming, especially in the ocean, and she often times managed to get sand in every hair and crevice. Ground obsidian was different than sand though, so maybe it wouldn’t be as bad.

She took the opportunity to crouch down low, letting the waves wash over her shoulders. The constant buzz of heat and booze softened a bit, and she felt herself cooling down slowly. “Nothing quite like it, huh?” She asked idly. She shut her eyes, swaying gently with the current. The dulling of her senses and the constant rhythm of the shallows instilled a great sense of peace in woman, one that she had forgotten. It seemed that this night was a night for rediscovering forgotten things and feelings.

The girl was much quicker to lower herself into the dark waves, her pleasure obvious in her features. Lachlan couldn’t help his bright blue eyes returning to her form, reminded painfully at how nice it had been to be held by her. Tentatively the boy got closer to her in the water and lowered himself beside her. Close enough that the ocean waves warmed between themm as he relaxed into the water.

She swayed lightly and touche dhis side gently and Lachlan tried to ignore the warmth it caused against his skin, but he found himself swaying bck and leaning against her lightly. Bright eyes hadn’t left hers as she looked out over the ocean, the peace found on her face calming for the young Valentine boy. ”There isn’t.”He spoke in return, unsure if he meant the incredible view, or the young woman beside him.

Her eyes eyes slid open about a quarter of the way, and she observed the horizon. The slowly setting sun cast an almost orange glow, setting the water on fire. She felt like crying over how obnoxiously pretty it was, but both the cool currents and the stranger beside her drew her back in to the exhausted rythmic peace.

"I gotta do thiss... more often." She slurred quietly. She meant sitting in the ocean, because after this train wreck she'd probably treat alcohol like the devils drink, and treat the loud blue wolf who had supplied everyone booze as the devil. She would not be tempted again. Maybe. "Sober preferably. And without trying to fuck bearss." She grinned dumbly, still staring the the blazing sea beyond.
