The scent of prey was thick in the air as she scoured the forest floor. But she wasn't necessarily in the mood for hunting. She'd find herself in the forest that she spent a good amount of time in from her younger years. The trees very uninteresting to her as they towered like the mountains she hid in. She'd scurry across the loose soil like a stalking cat, lining the tree trunks with a deep inhale before leaping out and poking her head around the other side. As if she were playing hide and seek, but with no one. If she was lucky there'd be an unaware hare lounging on the other side hearing her paw pads against the ground and she'd scare it by jumping from behind the trees. Why was she doing this? Really no reason at all. Something different to fill her time other than sleeping, hunting, and eating. The boredom of a loner crashing down on her rather suddenly as she came out from hiding and explored farther into the continent. Jupiter heavy on her mind she tried to push it out. Though she had become obsessed with him after being reunited, she could admit only to herself that she was mad and a little upset at him for the way he left. But she wasn't a pouter. If only for that one moment. And inside, she'd tell herself "never again". |
