fight post 1/3

The Gulley echoed with the sounds of yapping dogs and snapping teeth. During his early morning walk Hattori had stumbled upon a dhole den and they weren't feeling the least bit welcoming. Usually he would have just backed off and left them to their own devices, especially since  the Gulley offered plenty of space for him to roam, but even then the pack just wouldn't let him be. Their numbers grew as dhole after dhole emerged from the den to see what all the fuss was about and by the time the den had run dry he had 14 dogs shadowing him in an attempt  to nip at his heels and tail. His patience was quickly running thin as he offered them their first and only warning. He reeled around, teeth bared as a throaty snarl ripped from his form. A few dogs flinched back in alarm, chittering amongst themselves as if they didn't know what to do with him. For one reason or another they'd deemed him as a threat and wanted to chase him off but...well it was clear he wasn't all that threatened by their numbers.

A fight was brewing, the tension mounting as Hattori glared down at the barrier of canines that surrounded him. A silent question lingered in the air. Who was going to make the first move? Like a strike of lightning Hattori moved, talons extended as he tore into the nearest dhole and split it's face right down the center. Blood splattered everywhere and Gulley wasn't quite so peaceful anymore. The dhole screeched in pain as he tossed it aside, still squirming and crying as it laid there, with the members of it's pack looking on with varying degrees of horror. He remained where he was for a moment, gaze cold and teeth still on show, letting the impact of his first attack sink into the hearts of the dholes who hadn't yet fled for their lives. He'd set a precedent but the ball was in their court. The poor dhole still cried and cried in the background, wailing and flailing, but Hattori paid it no heed as he tensed his back legs in preparation to spring into action once again.

Polaris hopped her father wouldnt mind her sneaking out here for some time. There was a lot she missed in her self-isolation, the mourn was over, it was time for her to enjoy what was last of her youth. The world could have a lot to offer and she had yet to know what that was, but her family or the remaining of it was her world and by no means she would ever abandon them. Yes, she could still explore Boreas as she wanted but always returning to those she owned her existence.

And there she went all the way south, the opposite hemisphere to her icy home. Eyes of icy blue stared at the place with great curiosity but keeping her expression still collected as her walk became relaxed and lacking any rush, there was no need to.

But then as the wind kissed her grey frame, a commotion brought her attention and there she found a male in a conflict with a pack of canines she didnt knows about, never seeing those before but that mattered little as she took a quick note of the situation. But well, even though she didnt have business with the stranger she couldn’t leave without at least doing something to her own kind. Quickly she walked silently hoping her heavy frame wouldnt make too much noise and there she snarled and broke into the Dhajole circle in a stumble and as a warning she snapped at the nearest dog. If you mess with a wolf you mess with all of them, that was the message she wished to give.

fight post 2/3

The appearance of another wolf seemed to set off the dholes as they soon went on the offensive, snapping and lunging at the two wolves who easily towered over them. Perhaps their large numbers emboldened them, made the pack feel as though they had a fighting chance but oh how wrong they were. Especially now that Hattori had backup. Truth be told he didn't feel as though he'd been in dire straits but she provided a welcome distraction for Hattori to make yet another move. He whipped around, dipping his head as he charged the nearest dhole that had just been at his flank, attempting to grab a hold of his tail. The canine's eyes widened in alarm and it knew it was far to late to dodge as a screamish squeal passed it's dark lips. The pair collided and Hattori's horns pierced it's flesh, blood rolled down and pooled on his forehead as he shook the dhole loose, causing even more damage in the process.

For as quiet and reserved as he seemed Hattori didn't fight fair.

Polaris went soon to stand by the other wolf, if the Dholes were the ones who started the fight then it was totally fair to see the male wolf defending himself with deadly force. Sometimes there weren’t other options but to retaliate with all the ferocity a wolf could dispose of with. And there as her partner charged toward the nearest dog, a couple more went after her, one aiming to get a bit on her tail and so did the other but with her belly. Okay so if they were to hurt her then she didn’t have other options but return the aggression.

Quickly she turned to grab one by the upper neck, and in a quick way, she trashed her head wildly. Wanting to disable the attacker, and so did with the other offender.

Hattori felt confident he could have dealt with this alone, but at the very least he noted that the stranger could hold her own fairly well. Her way of fighting wasn't quiet as swift or as brutal as Hattori's but it got the job done, well enough that the shinobi didn't feel as though he needed to intervene for her sake. Instead he focused on the few dholes that surrounded him, the largest of the bunch who weren't nearly as hesitant or as skittish as the others. The packs veterans then? He mock lunged forward, his cold and callous gaze noting that they didn't skitter away as the others had, simply flinching a little in retaliation but still holding their ground. A wise choice, given that as soon as they turned their backs on him he'd strike again and hit just as hard as before.

His white talons were already painted with blood as he slashed the air once again, the largest of the dholes dipped out of the way and lunged for his throat whilst another swerved in from the side to attack his exposed flank. It was the right move to make but Hattori had expected they'd do as such. He squared his shoulder as he barged the second dhole out of the way, his sheer size and bulk sending her tumbling as the air was knocked from her lungs. As for the first, Hattori simply tucked in his neck, using the dhole's momentum against him as four horns pierced the soft flesh of it's throat with a sickening squish. The canine gagged for air, squirming weakly as it attempted to free itself only to land with a pained, gaspy whimper as Hattori shook it free. The second dhole watched on with wide, terrified eyes as she shakily got her to her paws, unable to look away from her fallen companion. Would she fight or flee?
