Káti ended up crossing the Battlefield on his way back south and decided he might as well see if he could get a work out in. It felt like it'd been awhile since he'd fought another wolf. He'd gotten tangled up with so many other large predators he wasn't even sure if he knew how to fight another wolf any more. Finding a nice clearing he threw back his head and howled for a challenger before he started stretching and warming up his muscles. Hopefully, he'd get someone good to spar and not anyone overly mean. He knew there was always a bit of a risk when calling for a fight in the battlefield. The wind picked up a bit and he noticed the slightly cool temperature. It was another reminder he'd need to start looking for a place to settle soon. He wondered how Ulric was doing with his pack.

she lingered, poking around the area and eyeing those she can find. it wasn't as if she was aching to be bitten, but something between her shoulders itched with the whine to move. it had been ages since she had squared up with another in an effort of exercise, or roughhousing. unsure if she desired to the task of iron within her teeth, or the tingle of another body against her.. she'd answer this call. quiet steps leading her from his right. oranges eyes watching him, dark ears twitched back in an almost.. relaxed position. she was fully prepared to have her ass handed to her, and to enjoy it every step of the way. a last few steps were almost a skip, her head lifting to look at him with interest.

she stopped a neat distance away, slender frame absent of any injury or strain. simply a sick mind with a craving. "fae." words offered, the only effort to offer in awkward introduction. "my name."

Káti's thoughts wandered as they often did when met with silence. Plans and decisions yet to be made tumbled one over another until he was alerted to another's approach. A woman of light build arrived and introduced herself as Fae. He dipped his head awkwardly but smiled. "Hi, Fae. I'm Káti. Are you looking for a spar? If so you can have the first move." He wanted to be sure she was looking to fight before just charging at her. Not all wolves gave such courtesy. He'd been surprised by fights before when a wolf would answer his call with a charge rather than an introduction but it was the risk one took when looking to fight on the Battlefield.

Káti, a name she would do her best to etch away. while she rarely remembered anything set into storage, she would make the effort to attempt keeping them. the offer to first would be silently answered, careful steps taken to close a portion of the distance between them. nothing further needed to be said, though she couldn't help but feel curious towards the bitter things she'd voice paws carefully placed as she kept herself aligned to his side, unwilling to drift to his rear to attempt advantage. instead the bracing of her hind limbs would surge her forward, ears flattening to her head.

as speed granted her a quick approach, her maw had yet opened. fully attempting to crash her entire frame into his back legs. while she couldn't expected her lighter frame to have any great means to move him. she hoped for the odd means to startle him, then sink awaiting fangs into sensitive tissue left unguarded. her nostrils flared slightly, bracing herself for the impact.

Káti swiftly set his defenses, his shoulders rolling forward as his neck scrunched back, pushing fur and flesh over his vitals. He made sure to pin his hears and tuck his tail in preparation, his limbs coiled and ready to move. Keen eyes watched the woman as she moved toward his left side. She suddenly launched herself forward toward his hind legs.

Káti planted his front limbs and quickly sought to pivot his back legs away from the woman and back behind him. As he did so he managed to avoid the brunt of her attack though her fangs still broke the skin, tearing light lacerations across his back above his hips. At the same time as Káti pivoted his hind end away from his opponent he arced his upper body toward her, seeking to dig his fangs into the front of her left thigh. He also sought to slam his left shoulder into her side, in the soft area between her ribcage and left hind leg.

his steps were quicker then she, escaping efforts spent to barrel into him. yet, she couldn't help but feel slightly pleased with the taste of blood as it greeted her tongue. she sunk them in as much as she could before the positioning forced her to release the minor hold. the tips of her ears twitched up as they reminded her to focus on the task at hand. his body had moved, and her steps were quick to follow.

her steps were unsteady, gaze seeking a way to avoid the blunt of his fangs. tugging her leg up, but the awkward angle would leave her without time to handle the oncoming of his body. narrowing eyes would bring about a quick minded move, using the same lifted leg to aim to kick upon his face. hoping to settle within range of his eye.  the brace within remaining limbs proved to weak, forcing her sideways as she attempted to even out her feet beneath her.

Káti's fangs found purchase in the woman's thigh. He bit down hard, seeking to maintain the hold he'd worked to obtain. His shoulders rolled sharply forward as he attempted to protect his neck as well as strike her. However, her leg suddenly kicked out, slipping from his grasp and striking hard into his chest, pushing him back from his target. Káti's hind legs coiled sharply as he attempted to kick off, hoping the combination of power in both his hind legs would over power her one and allow him to slam his body weight into her hindquarters before she could put the leg down. He hoped to use her three-legged stance to unbalance her and knock her to the ground but it would all depend if he was quick enough.
