All Washed Up
Koi? Hattori?
The ocean rolled onto the eastern shore of the delta, waves larger than usual as if the sea was angry. Within one massive roll of water, the faint glimmer of white and pink can be seen as she is tossed to and fro by the surf. The dragon is unconscious, half-drowned, and has given herself up to Davy Jones and his locker more than once only to be rejected and sent back to the world of the living kicking and sputtering. She had failed, lost her leader, and hadn't even known about the ambush! Those rotten beasts would get what was coming to them in due time, but for now, Kyou was lost to the darkness of her mind until the wave she rode spat her harshly onto the beach. As if beating the dragon for daring to enter the sea, the waves crashed down on her several times before she came around. Sputtering out seawater from her lungs and throat with a fiery burn in her chest, and blowing the salt from her nose, Kyou sat up on her elbows and wobbled for a moment. The heat of the sun beat down on her glaring white coat, the bright pink of her pelt seeming to warm faster than the rest of her, but the sand burned beneath her paws. What fresh hell was this?
Kyou sat up, slowly blinking her eyes open despite the brilliance of the sands and sun, looking out through squinting, straining silver eyes to take in her new surroundings. Real thoughts hadn't even formed in the nearly perished shinobi, but one stood out clear in her mind.
