After their encounter with the slightly odd purple woman, Eydis and The Baron continued on their way. They were intent on reaching the pack called the Armada. They'd been told that it was a strong pack; a large pack. Surely they could supply two weary travelers with sanctuary for a single night. The pair of canines were in dire need of some good rest. As the pair moved along, the midnight shepherd began testing the air with his overly sensitive nose. "There's a pack here, lady." He sniffed again. "Very nearby." The Lady Eydis cast her tired, silver eyes in the dogs direction. "Then let us approach. Call for an audience, please." Always mindful of her manners, she made her request to the long haired, obsidian dog. The Baron raised his muzzle and let out a call. Obviously not the call of a wolf, but it would do. Meanwhile, Eydis had scented the border as well. The blue and white striped woman seated herself just outside of the scent line and waited. Hopefully someone would come soon. Far behind them, thunder rumbled ominously. It looked as though it would be another rainy summer night. What she wouldn't give for a bit of safe sleep and a meal that wasn't rushed. It had been too long. "Eydis" "Baron"

The call was one that he did not recognize, though the voice reminded him of Eligos’ dogs more than anything. Curiosity would not be the only thing to draw Iroh to the border, with the death of his cousin Aerie had been a sombre place. He wanted to step up and be a pillar for his cousin’s to lean against during such a trying time. Iroh understood where they were coming from. He hadn’t lost Zagan but the death of his mother had been an incredible blow.

Had he not had Banshee during that time so it was hard to say what he would have done.

Iroh approached the border to find canine and wolf. His brows perked curiously at the duo but he gave a polite smile all the same. He couldn’t speak for Eligos but he could hold the border until the alpha arrived. Not that either of these two looked like they intended any harm. Sarabi had his teapot, perhaps he could indulge here on the border.

”Greetings,” he offered with a quick nod of his head, deep voice rumbling from his chest. ”My name is Iroh, on behalf of Aerie I meet you here. What brings you to our borders?” She’d probably have to repeat herself but Iroh was too curious and maybe he could help summarize.

In time a wolf approached. A handsome man with similar tones to his pelt that she had in her own. The Baron rose, placing himself between his mistress and the man. Once the brute introduced himself, giving the name of the pack in question, the dog spoke. "The Lady Eydis Adamaris." He was always so stuffy... The bob-tailed woman rose, taking a step forward. She bowed her head in greeting. "Please, just Eydis." She offered a polite smile, silver eyes lifting at the corners. "My companion and I have traveled a great distance. We were told of a nearby pack by a passerby and were hoping that we might beg a night of sanctuary so that we could rest our weary paws before continuing on." The Baron kept his honeyed gaze upon the man, but he seemed to settle just a bit as he seated himself behind and to the side of his mistress. Eydis spied the mandrill, complete with teapot and her polite smile turned into a genuine one. "Might I trouble you and your companion for a spot of tea?" The woman inquired politely while her companions mouth gaped open. "I've had nothing but river water since our departure and I do so miss the comfort of tea." Silver eyes were hopeful. Eydis wasn't one to ask for things, but she simply couldn't help herself in this instance. "Eydis" "Baron"

Iroh would give a swift nod to dog and wolf as the canine introduced his mistress and the she wolf stepped forward. He was stuffy and stiff while her movements and voice were full of grace and warmth. ”Eydis.” He offered softly as she insisted on a less formal title before going on to explain her circumstance. He couldn’t speak for Eligos, Iroh’s rank wasn’t near high enough to openly invite a stranger past their borders. Before he could tell her as such her attention was drawn to Sarabi and the cast iron pot that she held onto. He chuckled at her words, a good natured smile playing on his features.

”I cannot offer you refuge, my Alpha will have to do that, however I’d love to share a bit of tea with you.” With a quick nod Sarabi began preparations for a fire and Iroh began to ready the rest of their supplies. He made himself comfortable in front of woman and dog, no fear showing in his features. She’d mentioned the distance, but Iroh was eager to sit with some small talk before Eligos could be welcomed.
