Svala had been considering joining Abaven for some time but it was hard to give up her life as a loner, especially when she didn't know for sure what to expect. The boy, Spirit, had seemed very nice and spoke well of his pack. She also liked the area of Boreas that the pack was in so in the end she figured to just go ahead and give it a try. She gathered up all her healing items, packed her travois and headed out. It was late afternoon by the time she arrived. It was a nice fall day, bright and sunny with just the slightest of cool breezes. She settled down then lifted her head and called for the alpha. Hopefully, they had room for another healer and if not a healer then an explorer. She had a fair bit of knowledge tucked away that she was more than happy to share with her new packs. Summer gave way to fall, as it always did. Theory was excited for the coming changes - the leaves, Abaven shifting territories, and whatever else Boreas had in store for her. She was leisurely patrolling when a new voice caught her attention. A newcomer? She called back a short response and then diverted her course towards the direction of the summons. When she arrived there was a dark, older female waiting at the border with a tightly packed travois. A trader? Theory slowed her approach and stopped a few yards away, offering the stranger a welcoming smile. "Hello, welcome to Abaven. I'm Theory, alpha here. How could I assist you?" Although she was warm and friendly, she still erred on the side of caution by sticking to the edges of the small grass clearing. Loners could be unpredictable but this one seemed harmless enough, especially if she came bearing items.

Svala shifted from one paw to another paw. She caught herself and tried not to fidget so much in case she gave the wrong impress. In truth she was very excited, she just didn't want to disappoint anyone. She felt fairly confident in her healing skills to be of some use if the other pack wasn't full to he brim with healer's already. If anything she definitely love the territory and weather out in the east. Many wolves might not be looking forward to winter but she could find pleasure in the slow fall of snow and the turning of four seasons. Soon her call was answered by a young woman who introduced herself as Theory, the alpha. "A pleasure to meet you Theory. My name is Svala and I was hoping to join your pack. Ah, Spirit had been making friends! Svala's words caused a slow and genuine smile to spread across her face. She worried often about that brood, with Eulogy as fragile as she was. They'd managed to get along okay, but she hadn't seen any of them truly blossom. Friends were a great start. "Oh! Well, welcome to Abaven," she said, dipping her head quickly in greeting. Theory's ears pricked in excitement and she gestured towards the grassy plains that spread out before them. "I'm glad to meet you as well, Svala. Anyone with a willingness to learn and help out when needed is welcome here - judging by your travois, you seem to be the helpful type!" Theo grinned cheekily. As always, she was endlessly amused with herself. "Where did you happen to meet Spirit, if you don't mind me asking? And come, come! I can give you a quick tour," she murmured, stretching briefly before padding closer to offer help with the travois if needed.

Svala smiled gently, relieved that the alphess of Abaven was so kind and a truly pleasant sort. Spirit was right and it made her all the pleased when the alphess welcomed her into Abaven. She quickly followed after Theory as the younger woman prepared to take her on a tour of the lands. She was eager to see what the territory was like. She'd done enough exploring of Eastern Boreas to know that she liked the climate and weather in general. "Thank you, Theory. I'll do my best. I met Spirit in the Rustling Thicket. I was working on crafting a few items there. He's a very sweet boy, timid but kind." She wasn't the sort to undervalue kindness.
