It would be dusk in an hour or so. Rudy had another long day behind him of lessons, self-training, spending time with other pack members and snooping. It was hard to find as much time to snoop anymore. He always tried to find time to help Tika, and the more he helped her it seemed more awareness came of paying more attention to how others were doing. He was more likely to check in on a sister even if for only a minute. There was one last thing Rudy was going to do though he questioned how fun it would be. Rudy went to the pools to search for the so often silent Grimshaw. He didn't like the pup but now he knew why he was a jerk. Rudy was going to be a leader so he had to try and help out even a pain-in-the-tail like the jerk uh Grimshaw. "Hey," once he found the pup he'd head over and not expecting to be welcomed he just got the point out right away, "I'm going to try hunting rabbits again. I bet it would work better if I had a teammate. I could use a paw? Do you mind?" Rudy would have rather put it another way such as playing or training as friends but he expected better results if he made it a request for aid. He'd ignore any negativity the pup might throw at him, he would smile and do his best to not show any agitation he was bound to feel the moment Grim opened his mouth. No, this would work well. Teaming up to hunt the rabbit was a good plan of course, but it would be even better with someone he didn't dislike. Still, the horrible reality of what had happened to Grimshaw had pierced Rudy's heart. The mixed emotions of dislike, irritation, and a need to help were conflicting things for a pup to work through. Why was everyone always getting up in his business? He was fine spending time near the springs, staring at his reflection and well... reflecting. He almost considered getting into the pool today, but it was when a familiar voice broke his train of thought that he visibly cringed before looking towards the mottled boy. It wasn't but a second later that he was invited to go and hunt rabbits. He'd never hunted before, but supposed it was worthwhile anyway if he wanted to prove his usefulness to Bowen as well as Resin and Tamsyn. He was getting old enough to contribute something, he supposed. And what better way to distract himself by hunting? That was only if he could keep the image of his dead mother out of his mind if he successfully caught something.
"Sure. Why not." Grim sighed a bit and stood, shaking out his oil-toned pelt and readying himself for wherever Rudy planned on going to hunt the rabbits. He didn't have much else to say to the boy, and frankly, he hoped this would be a quiet endeavor.

Grimshaw has a septum ring, a fluffy curled tail, and a horrible facial scar (hover)

Grim clearly wasn’t thrilled to see him but Rudy chose to ignore it. When Grim agreed Rudy was actually mildly surprised. This was what he’d wanted, right? Rudy had wanted this, kind of, but he wouldn’t have been broken-hearted had Grim said no. Still, the boy wagged his tail happily at Grim’s reaction after a second and turned around. “I’ve been trying on my own a lot lately, so I know where their warrens are. It’s hard though. Rabbits are fast and turn real quick.” Rudy headed towards the forested area that surrounded the falls. “So, ever hunted before? I was thinking one of us starts the chase and tries to lure it to the other one who joins in once it's really close to grab it.” Rudy offered up his plan, letting Grim have an opinion if that way would work for him. Rudy was also careful not to say which part he wanted to play in it. This was a time he had set aside for Grim. He’d of enjoyed this more with Tika or Art or well, anyone but this was for a good purpose, right? Rudy didn’t like remembering what Grim had told him about his parents being dead. It was the only reason to deal with him. "Rudyard"
