Halloween 2020 - Witches Hut
01-12-2021, 04:47 PM

Muzet had grown used to the slight crick in her leg. It was normal after the break for the leg to never feel the same, which sucked in her opinion but it was understandable for anyone to feel annoyed at that fact. But with the drop in the temperatures, it was definitely more apparent. Though, she probably wouldn't really know the difference with the slight uncomfortableness until spring came around. Or the next winter. The break was completely new to her, but hopefully she still had many years to adjust and let the leg become a normal feeling to her.

She was still keeping close to Habari by staying in the eastern or southern lands, but she was getting more comfortable to go farther out in radius of the pack. And she certainly couldn't wait until she was able to just trek around where she pleased. She was able to provide more for Habari now, especially with bringing in kills for their stores. Though as this hard winter was coming around and the plentiful packs that resided on this side of the land, hunting was getting harder by the day. She was feeling like she couldn't catch a break anymore. First it's the leg, and now past the leg when she can actually help provide for the pack a harsher winter than most comes along and sweeps away even more of her opportunity. Still, she tried her hardest to do best for Habari.

There wasn't any particular reason she came to The Stone Steppe, just passing through in hopes to go to other lands a little more north and track something down to kill and take back to the pack. But the snow was making it exceedingly hard for her to catch on to scents. If she followed tracks in the tall, level snow fall, they were gone after the moments passed in the heavy flurries. It was disheartening, but she tried to stay positive. She hopped through the snow, about knee height today, and just sought to make it through The Steppe and into the more plain type areas ahead. She was just thinking that it would probably be better to go back south into the more forested areas where less snow would be piled on the surface. Until her front knees struck a fallen stone pillar and sent her tumbling head over heels. "Shi-" She nearly cursed before getting a face full of snow. Her head popped up out of the mounds before she found her footing again, giving a shake of the clumps of ice and snow that clung to her pelt. As she went to step forward though, she felt an immediate pain through her once broken leg. It wasn't broken again, luckily, but it did terrify her in that first step. She wouldn't even risk it further. Turning back the way she came, she'd go back toward Habari and call it a day. Now slow and steady to make sure she didn't smack into another hidden stone. She sure as hell didn't like the snow, and winter was now far off from her favorite season.
