ghost out

It was finally time to determine what was going on in the pool at the heart of the shrine. Morning prayers were finished, and the boy was determined to find out if God lived in the glowing pool or not. He cautiously circled the edge of the water, pale gaze tracking the movement of the fish within. Were they going to stop him from entering the pool? The closer he got, the more concerned he was by the volume of fauna living in the pool. Were they all His servants? A small frown turned down the corners of inky lips, auds shoved forward as he closed the last of the distance between himself and the slow lap of the water against the bank. The steady swish of his tail against his heels turned to the rise of the thin banner over his hips. This was his domain, and no water creatures were going to stop him from figuring out what was at the bottom of the pool! He placed his one alabaster paw into the shallows, and immediately yanked it away with a startled yelp. Cold! The water was cold! He shook the droplets from his toes, and his frown deepened. Perhaps he would wait until the water was warm, then he would begin his investigation. "talking" thinking actions |
