and there it goes
deathbelle
Long inky legs carried the slim beast through the Soulless Forest and then beyond the Travelers Pitfall to be met with the stench of Klein. The former Prince's jowls watered with anticipation as his strides ceased. The tips of his black claws idly scraped at the border of this apparent Kingdom as front paws anxiously flexed. Pads kneaded at the cold dirt below as a wind swept over a thick winter coat. There was a distinct lack of expression upon the yearling's facial features as those pale eyes consumed that of the Redbud Nook. Looming above the once tattered forest was the Volcano he heard so much of. The mountain that took many lives and changed even more. But, he was seemingly completely unaffected by it's existence. Incubus took a few moments to himself as he watched the woods before him. His head was raised and his tail flicked with pure anticipation. A mild emotion flickered within his chest as he stared yonder. Hope. Incubus hoped his mother was somewhere safe within the pack's borders. It seemed a lot had happened in his time away and he hadn't found the woman upon Ashen's throne upon his visitation to the Shrine. Thus, he thought to check elsewhere and that's why he was left knocking on some doors. The Klein raised his head and jaws parted to emit a howl. Incubus was beckoning that of his mother. But, of course any curious pack Wolf was welcome to head his call as well.

Recluse felt fit to bursting at this point, she was certain the little devils inside her would worm their way out any day now, and if she was being honest she was tired of waddling around feeling more useless than a fucking pup. Recluse did not glow during pregnancy, no she glowered, she stomped, she got hormonally irritated, more than usual. That didn't mean she could just go wandering off to go kill the nearest man she found... no she had a pack to deal with now so much as she wanted nothing more than to find Beat and kick his ass for putting her through this she couldn't... and not just because she didn't want him knowing about the little whelps he'd helped to father. So she was in fact very much aware of her long lost half-brother's call for her aunt. A little thrill of fear went through her for a moment, eyes growing wide. As far as she was concerned her half-siblings were still the rightful heirs of the Klein's whole empire, the purest among them... She'd not seen hide nor hair of Chimera or Siren since her first attempt to bring them back into the fold, which was a shame when it came to her sister but was about as lucky as she figured she could get with the little shitter that was Chimera. As for Incubus? Well she had less than no knowledge about him, aside from the fact that he'd fucked off one day, probably wherever it was her father kept running off to the moment reality got to real for him... that did not leave a good taste in her mouth. So no she wasn't just going to let her aunt have time with her youngest, well so far, son. She wasn't about to just let the most experienced healer be left alone with an unknown element at the border... at the very least her aunt needed to finish teaching Jigsaw as she knew... then if Deathbelle wanted to fuck off and do whatever she wanted Recluse would let her, as long as she wasn't going to be held responsible. But for now, she prowled, or well waddled really, towards the border, cherry gaze narrowed as she drew in the image of her missing younger brother, he was at best vaguely familiar... she hadn't exactly been too fond of going near her father the last time he'd deigned to be around and so hadn't had much chance to know her half-siblings before they got all fucked up... she still blamed her father for that, no matter what Chimera claimed. She settled before him, visibly watching him but far enough back from the border to make it clear she was here to observe, the light growl on her lips the warning that she wouldn't hesitate to attack if she needed to, pregnant or not.

She struggled with her thoughts as she loped easily towards the border, trailing her heavily pregnant niece along the way. Deathbelle had no worry about her safety, she was still an accomplished warrior herself and had no doubt in her abilities. Still, the presence of the younger Klein helped to dissipate the tension in Belle’s limbs. ”Incubus.” She whispered as she came to a halt on Habari’s side of the border. There was an unmistakable amount of emotion in her voice. She hadn’t laid eyes on her children in quite some time, but Incubus was the longest. She didn’t know weather to laugh or cry and stood frozen instead.

Movement and then a low growl in the distance alerted the young Klein to a presence. But, when all went still he resumed his waiting. It seemed like he was not going to be chased away just yet and didn't want the prospect of such to interrupt his family time. The fur on the back of his neck prickled upward slightly but overall he ensured his stance was neutral. He was a mere loner knocking at this kingdoms door and he thought to act like one for the time being. It took only a pawful of moments for Deathbelle to make her appearance. Pink and blue eyes took in the sight of his dear Mother. He witnessed the emotion leaking from her violet visage and the pain in her voice as she uttered his name. The male watched for a moment before breaching the border to hopefully close the distance between them. "Mother." Incubus aimed to nuzzle into her neck fur with a low hum of appreciation. He inhaled her familiar and heart warming scent. A small grin stained pink and black lips, "I've missed you so." Incubus would aim to take only a half step back in order to eye over his Mother once again. Taking in her features to note any sign of poor conditions or injuries. "Is this your new home?"

He uttered softly how much he missed her before pulling away slightly. Tears might have gathered in her eyes but love shone through her expression. ”I’ve missed you too,” Deathbelle returned softly, trying to retake her composure. ”You’ve grown so much.” She could hardly believe her tiny boy had grown into a young man.
”Yes, Habari.” She sighed. ”So much has happened…” She shook her head slightly before pressing up under his tall chin and holding herself close to him.

Tear fell from his Mother's beautiful purple eyes and Incubus felt his heart sting for the first time in a long while. It was not often that the boy felt bad for anyone. But, he truly felt his Mother's pain lash at him. As if her heart was linked to his own. The young Klein moved to run his tongue along her cheek and lap away some of the tears. Something she may have once done if he got injured or if Chi was being too cruel when they were younglings. Deathbelle's comment on his growth made the male chuckle ever so slightly. A low rumble made to lighten the mood ever so slightly. "The growing pains were not fun in the slightest." It was true. His growth spurts were riddled with aches. But, it was nothing he couldn't handle. It was all a part of becoming an adult it seemed. The embrace lasted through their conversation. As Belle spoke and tucked her head under his chin Incubus couldn't help but to shut his eyes for a few moments. Enjoying the comfort his Mother provided. Though, those pale eyes did come into view after some time. His gaze scanned the tree line beyond the dam out of curiosity. Where did the other Wolf go? - He did not let the curiosity get the better of him for he returned to the conversation with low raspy tones. "Harabi." A pause. "Do you care to fill me in? Only on what you wish to speak upon, of course. It is quite a shock to not see you with a crown."

They sat quietly for a moment, both wolves just enjoying the presence of the other. So much time had been stolen from her. She wanted to sit and hold her boy… and try to forget her own mistakes. ”I’ve done some things I now regret, and Venom has taken the place of Empress.” She buried her features into his fur, she didn’t want to speak too heavily on the loss of her crown. ”Recluse claimed a title and I’ve been here helping her to establish her own kingdom.” She shook her head into him, ”I’m just… I’m so glad to have you again, Incubus.”
