There wasn’t anywhere else she wanted to raise her brood, nor with anyone else. She wasn’t sure that she’d ever seen so much joy on a wolf’s features than when she told her husband what they’d done. Poem hadn’t expected to settle so quickly, but she wouldn’t have changed anything. Still early, today was the day to tell Rhyme. The rest of the family would know quickly afterwards. Poem bumped her shoulder against Theory as they approached Rhyme and Samara’s den. Her little brothers and sisters would be finding their own dens soon, hopefully in time for babysitting duty.
She chuckled inwardly at the thought, Theory was right. She could be afraid and nervous all she wanted but with so much family surrounding them Poem had nothing to fear. Her father, Samara, Rhythm… there were endless paws to help raise her tiny babies. For now, they were here to share the news. ”Tato?” She called out as they stopped outside.
He furrowed his brow as he dipped his silver touched features from the entrance of the den. ”I’m either too paranoid with your younger siblings, or the two of you are up to no good.” He grinned at his daughters, both beautiful blossoms. He said nothing for the moment, but as Poem’s scent wafted towards him. He could be wrong, but he suddenly had a very good idea what was about to be said.
Samara had been enjoying a nice little nap with her mate, rousing as he was already rising to his paws, aparently she needed that sleep. She blinked blearily, forcing herself to focus, the scents of Rhyme's daughter's reaching her. She sat herself up, shaking her fur out a bit, ears perking as she tried to listen to what was being said.

”Theory didn’t do anything this time.” She joked softly and nudged her sister’s shoulder as she steeled her courage and looked up to Rhyme. ”Sparhawk and I are going to be parents.” Poem said with a bashful grin as one pale paw instinctively went to her belly.
Poem took all the blame from her sister, and finally announced her news. Rhyme could have and should have expected the words sooner rather than later but this was very soon! He was reminded briefly of Shaye’s words, the Destruction family had never had to work very hard to reproduce.
Even if he was expecting the news, and now he realized she wouldn't be the first to give him grandchildren, Rhyme couldn’t help but erupt into a huge grin. Without hesitation he moved forward to embrace both young women, but especially the mom to be.
”Congratulations, my love.” He told her lovingly, nuzzling into her neck. Abaven was recovering and the new generation was the greatest testament to their perseverance. ”They’re going to be amazing, you are going to be amazing.”He assured her as he sat back, sighing contentedly and grinning brightly. ”Speaking of children though, you should know what I found when Samara and I visited Ashen.” He sighed much less contentedly. ”You have nieces and nephews there by Noir.” It went without saying their brother was not in the picture.
Samara gently leaned into her mate, feeling just so content to be allowed at this small but precious family moment. Poem announced what was clear to them both and the tiny woman practically beamed at the woman, watching as Rhyme moved to embrace his daughter. Though he seemed to have other things on his mind than the simple peace of his daughter's announcement and Samara squashed down the desire to nudge him, was now really the time?

The girl leaned into her father’s embrace as he spoke softly to her, his congratulations everything she wanted and needed to hear. For a long moment she felt complete. Like Shaye and Motif were right there with them as she announced the joyous news. ”Thank you, Tato.” She whispered to him as he pulled away and their eyes met for a moment.
Thankfully she was used to her father’s lack of tact, but she still felt a little disappointment at the revelation. Noir had managed to beat her to the punch, she wouldn’t be having the first of the grandchildren. ”Oh…” Poem wasn’t completely sure how to feel, but she knew and hoped, her brother wasn’t in their lives. Samara stepped up to mention that her sister was the one to birth them, their family tree was slowly intertwining with the Klein name. ”Do you think they’d like to meet their cousins when they’re old enough?” She was good at trying to look on the bright side, and any negative emotions were swiftly brushed from her features in favor of the excited grin she couldn’t stop wearing.
