Here he was again, putting himself in perilous situations. Hyacinth was on the trail of his siblings and having caught a trace of Percy he'd ended up here. A little out of the way. But well he was here now, wasn't he? He narrowed mismatched eyes against the brisk wind, what wondered had driven his brother to cross. Well... he was nothing if not curious, he wanted to know if there was even a reason to get to the end...

Before he'd actually really considered his options the part of his brain that liked to make very poor decisions was pushing him forward, moving his limbs until he was very solidly off of solid ground and onto the large ice floe. Welp. Might as well keep going right?

Lachlan had turned north again after he’d left the girls in a place where they could more easily find their way home. He was especially worried over the orange marked girl but he assumed she got home alright. He had an attraction to the snow, and despite the harsh weather found himself enjoying his time in the high north. That didn’t stop his thoughts from returning southward to wonder what Tyrian might be doing. Or if he missed him.

He also wondered if Tyr enjoyed the cold and snow as much as he did. When you were prepared it wasn’t bad, and was certainly enjoyable. Maybe he’d have to ask the man to join him. Would he leave the pack for a few days to see the sights with him? He’d pulled out all the stops on their dinner.. Date. Yes it was most definitely a date.

The thought warmed him as the wind tried to blow right through him. Lachlan managed to secure another thick pelt around his torso, and his cold tolerance boosted with it. This place felt like the top of the world. But instead of being alone like he expected there was another wolf not so far away. He was making his way to the mysterious ice bridge. Lachlan couldn’t help his natural curiosity and loped forward.

Another gust of wind threatened to topple him but Lachlan crouched as he howled to get the strangers attention. Maybe it would be enough to get over the screaming of the wind.

The wind buffeted his large form, and the man grit his teeth as she did his best not to be pushed either over or around. It didn't help he just had extra surface area for the wind to hit him, the chill of it seeping into his bones. There was a high whistling of the wind over the ice and he narrowed his eyes, ears pulling back slightly at the noise. This was 100% the worst idea he'd had... yes even worse than that time he'd sunk up to his elbow in quicksand.

The man took a few tentative step forward, the wind picking up and howling in his ears... he paused, perking slightly... no wait that wasn't the wind. The man whirled around, mismatched eyes narrowing as he searched for the wolf that had called out to him. He staggered back across the floe and spotted a huddled shape, he picked up his pace as much as he felt was safe. "Hey, you okay?" He asked as he approached, lowering himself before the red-marked young man, forming a wind break in front of him.

Lachlan was far from the most impressive man, and he knew the fact better than what the eye could see. Especially now that he was being buffeted by the wind. He could hardly keep his paws beneath him and he hoped he wouldn’t be forced off the edge. He was totally alone out here, even a glimpse of the stranger gave the young man hope. His dull claws dug into the ice so he could keep his balance. The wind and snow whipped around his face, but his icy silver eyes could see the massive man turn around once he called.

He lucked out and managed to catch the words over the wind as the stranger drew closer and lowered himself. He used his body to partially block the hurricane force winds. Lachlan wasn’t sure if he had ever been so cold in his life, and he quickly regretted having come out this way. ”Well, I’m not dead at least.” He had to practically yell to get his voice to carry over the sound of the wind in his ears. ”I’m certainly regretting this decision now.” He went on, but his expression said how grateful he was to the brilliant furred stranger.
