Foundations and Stones [AW]

Aurielle trotted through the woods, climbing the hillock with occasional leaps and hops as she reached craggy rock outcroppings. As she reached the top she stood, drawing in breaths of cold late-winter air to regain her wind as she gazed out over the plains. The hillock was tall enough to give her a good, clear view of the surrounding plains and an edge of visibility to the far lands and the Moorlands. One could almost see where the terrain changed from plains to moorland.

She gazed out over the and Valhalla claimed, and then looked at the ground at her paws, marking out a possible build site. She had plans in the works. With Ardyn’s hands, and the help of the lemurs and monkeys, there were possibilities that hadn’t been there before. She remembered the towers at Amron’s Castle. Though that trip had been very memorable for more than the stone work, she’d memorized what she’d seen in the way it was built. Could the hill support such a structure, especially if it were scaled down?

She lifted her eyes to the horizon line again, mind swirling with thoughts. What tools had humans used to shape those huge, square stones?
